All I can say is "wow!" Excellent! I've never fought a good Pit-- and I have a feeling I don't want to. Excellent control with the arrows-- especially the off screen loopping ones! I never knew his Dtilt was so amazing at edgeguarding. Nice combos! My fav kill was when you pushed Jiggles off while she slept.. lol. So mean. rofl.

You have actually made me want to pick up Pit-- but I feel there's too much to Pit-- perhaps over whelming. I play Falco... and obviously love shooting.. so picking up Pit might be fun. ;D

Is that laser aerial walk-off stuff a reliable way to kill most characters? Like, when you kept hitting them with another laser while they're in hitstun.. Is this avoidable?

Yeah, the arrows push the opponent a little backwards, plus nullify momentum back to the stage. There's a tiny bit of hitstun on the arrows for the lower percents, and then a noticeable amount of hitstun after percents of 170%+. For example, the beginning and end were both true combos. You can smash DI the arrows still i believe, and its hard to aim them.

That was really good. A couple of problems with production value (ie fades messing up with the flow) but that's just me being picky. Great Pit. 5/5

It's awesome, I've never seen Pit as good as that!
One thing though, his spike sure is easy to land... It's like... As quick as Marth's dtilt o_O.
It seems unfair for Link and Ike. Just my thoughts though.

The hitbox on that dtilt spike is absolutely nuts.

WoI kill was lawl. xD

Beast with the arrows as always.

Entertaining, to say the least. Five star'd

Excellent stuff, though I wish you had played some better opponents (you were winning in most of those clips by 1 or 2 stock). But ahhh, it's a combo vid, it doesn't really matter.

Those dtilt combos were so nice. It's good to see Pit played so well. Some of us were thinking Pit's not such a great character, maybe even bottom 10, but I'm glad to see we may have been a bit hasty in that judgement.

Nah... we've actually been planning to nerf dtilt for a while now. The biggest problem is that it's a spike and not a meteor, and with how easy it is to land and how early it kills, it's just a bit ridiculous. What we're probably gonna end up doing is switching the positions of the original meteor hitbox and the new spike hitbox, make the spike hitbox smaller, and make the meteor larger, so it preserves its onstage use while making it a little less stupid for offstage opponents.

Nice video, though. The arrow kills and that one WoI kill were great.

Why was the video removed?

Panicking.

Why do you think a lot of other people aren't posting videos? lol

I'm not posting any, for sure.
Inducing fear.

This is the saddest thing I've ever heard in relation to B+
Pierce has a cute name color.

I need to see zb soon :(
I would know if I lived in NJ I guess.

Kinda sucks...that I didn't get to see the video. T___T

Also Pit is more likely to get buffed than nerfed. I really didn't understand how JCaesar telling you Pit isn't considered one of the best led you to think that anyone would then NERF him after seeing this video.

I suppose DanGR's post didn't make the situation any better though.

*shrug*

The video was awesome, sad it got removed, but put it this way...
A combo video can make any character seem brokenly good.
The whole point is to take all the moments where your opponent was at their worst and getting ***** to make the most entertaining showcase you can.
Just because we saw so many moments of him being a stock or two ahead and still going strong doesn't mean that same exact situation never happens with him on the opposite end, it just means that we don't get to see it.

I do think a majority of Dtilt should be a meteor as Leaf said. It just ***** too much as it is as a true spike.

To go back about how awesome the video was though, I wish I had your arrow control o_O

Saw the video. Pretty sweet, though way too much D-tilt use for my taste. Your arrow looping is godly!

Alas, with the video gone, should this thread be closed?

I am incredibly saddened by this and I'm frankly upset you guys would think we would nerf a character based on a combo video. The fact people think we are that wishy washy in our buff and nerf process frankly pisses me off. If we only looked at youtube combo videos then I'd have gotten Ganondorf nerfed a while ago considering I win my matches with him. It's a combo video FFS man, of course your character is gonna look a whole lot better then what they are.

According to this video Roy was probably top tier in Melee...

The video was highly entertaining and in no way shape or form changed our opinion on Pit. People need to upload all the videos of their characters to get Brawl+ more popularity as well as give me something to watch at work. Man up and stop thinking we are gonna strike each character that does well in a few videos the nerf bat. I really can't describe how disappointed I am that the video was removed and that people really think we stalk youtube looking for characters to nerf cause they beat their friends.

Eh, I wanted to ask sagemoon if I could add the video to the Pit+ thread, but I can't since it got removed... shame. I got to see it though, it was insane.

Edit: I do agree though, d-tilt is ridiculous, Pit doesn't need it to be that powerful. He needs other stuff buffed, but not d-tilt, at least, not this much.

Good to hear that then. Keep up the good work and showing people what Pit can do. It was a great video, but as you said a little one dimensional at times.

To be honest I rushed it a bit, I cut out about 4 mins of combos I didn't like, then couldnt cut anymore so i had to use what was left.

Aww you could have kept the original video up, I would have really liked to see it :( Oh well, I can't wait to see the final product, because I really haven't heard too much about Pit+.

I'm sorry if people somehow took what I said to mean that we were gonna nerf Pit. That's definitely not the case. I was just impressed that Sagemoon took a character who is generally considered low tier in Brawl+ and made him look good.

Sorry for all this mayhem. I love Brawl+ and everything it stands for.

My only real complaint is about how often you guys change the game! Let it be! I (and I'm sure some others) really am frightened that you guys'll nerf my Brawl+ main if I can help prove he's way too good. It's the same deal with the whole "Ban MK" hype in regular Brawl. A lot of people picked him up to spread the word.

Whether it's realistic for you guys to nerf a character because of youtube videos or not, the fear that you'll do it will always be present. There's always going to be people like me that thinks it's possible- not probably, but possible.

=(

I really like the way Brawl+ is being handed. Makes it seem as a live project, where you can give your opinion and if it's really supported by others it's taken in consideration. Thus, if you prove your point I'm sure it will be heard and discussed at the WBR.

Patches for games are not only for MMO games.

Again, I like this constant change the game receives, make even more visible to everyone that the staff behind brawl+ is working on it to improve it.

[e] I'm looking forward to the video! Don't forget to post here so we can see it xD

I hope you'll do this for ALL d-tilts, I love pulling off D-tilt spike but they should all be meteors, not spikes, I've said that before and I still stand by it. It would keep the onstage depth setups without the offstage cheapness.

I'm on the other end. If it is means preserving balance, I want the WBR to nerf my characters.

I actually took a lot more time than expected. But at last, the video is complete.

I recommend watching in HQ. Please enjoy the vid =D

Edit: I'm taking down the video temporarily so i can work on having more variety of combos and less dtilt gimps

AWESOME!!

I want to see you face DSF, Praxis, Chip or Deva in B+. NEED MOAR B+ WEST COAST REP!!!!!!!!!

The WBR can't balance the characters perfectly well though. They can only have educated guesses about who needs a nerf/buff. I'm all for balance too, but I think in order to balance out the characters, we've got to have a somewhat stable game first. We need a steady game where most people playing Brawl+ have adjusted to all of the characters, their playstyles, and their combos. Until then, we're just stabbing at who's good and who isn't based on our premature ideas and experiences.

Take a look at the beginning of regular Brawl. DK was considered trash at first. A majority of people thought Snake was the best for the longest time, too. What if were able to give Pit a huge nerf? How about DK a huge buff? How would that have changed the game?

That's what I think, at least.

Huh??? At the beginning DK was very high on the tier list and snake was considered one of the worst chars(Wasn't tl considered the best at one point????)

I honestly wasn't impressed. Your opponents suck at teching, DI'ing, and recovering intelligently. That being said, dtilt looks ******** and gratz on getting that footage?

I'm talking about before an official SBR tier list came out- a couple weeks/months into the game. iirc, Snake was always considered good, and DK was considered bad. I could be wrong though. I'll admit that.

If you stabilize B+ to the point where it becomes stagnant, change slows and Gold is put off. I think people want Gold to come out as fast as possible.

That said, it is better to guess until everything "feels" right, then B+ will stabilize, people will experiment, and we can go from there.

Be aware that the WBR wants to get Gold out ( the near final stabilized set ) as soon as possible for you very reasons DanGR. And for that reason, I believe we must continue to experiment, have plenty of tournaments, and grow our community. All of which we are successful doing.
