Lenny, Shiny/Green/Alan lives on 44th ave and Thomas, if that's close to you. I'll give you his (home) number if its good for you.

Also <3 Derp.
Ah that would be pretty great. That's pretty close to me, I live on 63rd and Thomas.

HEY GUYS, PR IMAGE IS FINALLY DONE. :bee: Spoiler'd because it's so tall.

If I got any of the characters wrong, let me know. I mostly went off of memory.

The image also looks a lot more... purple than it should be. I'll probably fix it later.

looks great. I actually like the purple A LOT, it's also a color often brought up in discussions related to black persons.

Ok so the Tucson Brawl facebook page (lol, I know right?...) has been arguing over Katana v. U of A, and since the result affects everyone, I'm gonna bring it to the thread.

Lance Brings up many good points about the advantages of Katana Games:
1. Guaranteed/free parking
2. About 6 full setups are already provided
3. A reserved space
4. Free advertising that has already brought a bunch of newcomers
5. Clean Bathroom
6. The newer part of our community is more familiar with Katana
and it was also mentioned that it was easy to find, but hell, I couldn't find it my first time driving there, so that's not entirely true lol

Complaints about Katana are:
1. Venue fee
2. Poor food selection
3. Cramped
4. They close early (by Brawl tournament standards)
4.5. Lack of b*tches
5. Rules like 'No swearing' (which, admittedly, we haven't been called out on yet) and not being able to bring food into the game room

Tommy USES UOFA:
1. No venue fee
2. Free parking on Saturdays (because we definitely won't be holding a tournament on a game day)
3. A sizeable food court (including Panda, Chik-Fil-A, BK and Papa John's)
4. More space/couches
5. Closer to most/more centered in the city
6. Lounge closes at 2am
7. Food and drink and vulgarity can be brought into lounge
8. Certainly isn't impossible to attract people at the U

Complaints about the U:
1. Elevated t.v.'s
2. 4 t.v.'s (so we need more setups)
3. Will probably be harder to attract more new people
4. Slightly harder to find if not already familiar with campus

I'm going to assume everyone can agree with a couple things:
1. They both guarantee free parking; cancels out
2. The bathrooms right next door to the lounge aren't dirty either; cancels out

If I missed something, lemme know

I won't pretend to not be biased, I'm for the U.
I think the only major counterpoint Katana has is proof that it attracts new players (however we must maintain that the U is capable of doing so as well, where Katana has already proved itself). Other than that, all the U's disadvantages seem less extreme than Katana's, and its advantages more beneficial.

yea katana was hard to find for me too lol i actually did like it but it was cramped, and i didnt like the no swearing rule either since we say "ungghh get yo **** sucked"

when i went to the u of a for a melee tourney my only complaint was elevated tv's but other than that i found everything else in the venue perfect.

in my opinion, i would rather go to the u for a tourney than katana
