Actually, the theme is possible newcomers in Smash Bros 4, like Megaman, Ridley, Birdo, Little Mac, Bowser Jr etc. I'll change the name of the theme just so it's a little more clear.

Because there were many people who were strongly opposed to the theme that was winning (anime characters), including some of the people who voted for it. In the end, when the poll ends, I want the majority of us to be happy with the results.
