How many of you main Captain Falcon becuase you mained him in 64 or Melee? If you still main him from those days, what are you thinking now?

I mained him in both but wouldn't call myself a vet because I didn't have anyone that good to play. Online is pretty useful when you find non-laggy games.

first character I mained was link though (i just finished OoT and loved it, plus i didn't know anyone else but pokemon and mario) then later discovered Falcon, and fell in love with him

To be honest I used him in Smash 64 but very seldom as I used Samus and Link more. Hardly if ever used him in Melee...so I'm more of a Noob Falcon in Brawl. XD I'm still learning what works and doesn't work as I go since I never read guides or watch how to videos. :/

Edit: And like Wogrim, I didn't really go to tourneys or play anyone good so yeah. :/

WHen I first unlocked him and started playing with this character, I said to myself 'who is this bold, confident, tough son of a *****.!? I'm using him from now on!'.

Captain Falcon, the guy who yells cool stuff during matches.

Mario hollers and crap. Not cool.

Link is yelling like he's constipated
Toon link is a child who squeals
Pit is legally ******** the way he yells.
donky and diddy kong, typical ape sounds, nothing to see here, move along.

Sonic sounds like some neighborhood kid you want to kill and throw in the woods.
Pikachu sounds like an asian porno.

What do I think of him now? I still think he's fun to play. One of the main reasons I like CF is the way he plays. I also like the space animals. See a pattern there? They all have pretty abrupt jumps and can fast fall insanely quick, they are all fast on ground and in air, quick moves, etc.

captain falcon doesn't really have 'quick' moves though..maybe some, but not many..

Falcon Forever. In 64, my top main. Still my top main. His F-Smash was too good. I wish it'd be in the next Smash, and let Ganondorf have the elbow shove. In Melee, I'd say my 2nd main. In Brawl, I was on the brink of dropping him, but noez. I love him far too much to let him go. T.T

I remember when I first played melee at my cousins house. I was Falcon and he was mario. I didn't know about the move changes from 64 and I was just understanding them as I played.

At one moment in the match, I met him in the air with The Knee. I looked over at him and said, "Where the **** did you go?"

It was always the best, especially running from one side of a platform to another spamming your taunt to hear repeated overlapping "SHO ME YA MOVES!"

i main him in melee. what do i think of him now? i hate him, but since i mained him in melee im kinda good with him. falcon will never be able to do what he did ever again, and i hate brawl for that. melee falcon is the best feeling there is. moving around super fast, moonwalking, being able to jump like the hulk, and of course, having the sexiest finishing move in the game, the knee. and l canceling and all the other techs made melee super fun

Looks like most of us are new to the guy... I didn't main him in Melee either. And when SSB64 was out, I was like 7 years old. I sucked then.
