Bleh I feel like I have to both defend and criticize soccer all the time

I think a lot of people want to be actively excited by soccer, and are disappointed. Well, yeah, it's straight-up not an exciting sport. I usually watch while chilling with family/friends, and you usually are doing something else and/or chatting at the same time. Basically, it's like hanging out with your friends, except you're also watching soccer. Don't just watch it alone doing something else.

I'd imagine that's how people watch baseball. If you ask me that sport is boring as ****. Well, maybe if I actually had people to watch it with I'd enjoy it more.

But coming from someone who was raised with soccer, it's still not the best sport, either. Defense is overpowered and penalty kicks are glorified rock-paper-scissors. Tennis da bess
That's why I watch Hockey

Yo, did kefit not show up, or is BibleLove just really good?

Or maybe God just likes him more.

And somehow I doubt s2j lost to seagull and johnstermonster straight-up.

1) Boom
2) Isai
3) JaimeHR
4) Kefit
6) Sensei + Nintendude

I'm not sure after that. The competition here is unbelievable. Nearly every match in the losers top 16 was an incredibly close nailbiter. My matches against King of Funk, Sensei, and Jaime are probably the most intense I've ever had. Jaime says he had good competition on his side of the losers bracket as well.

Also, 13 game long Grand Finals.

Hopefully someone will post the full bracket soon.

And Kefit, great work, beating out sensei and nintendude... I'll admit, I didn't think you could pull it out again like you did at genesis. I'm looking forward to the vids.

He did it at genesis, I don't see why you would've expected him to do anything different here.

I'd've been piiiiiii-hissed if he'd gone top tier at the last moment, lol. I put $40 on boom at 2.5:1

Yeah, that's what I was getting at, haha.

Look's like Isai's gonna have to steadily creep up the tier list in the coming tournaments!

THIS MEANS FALCON AT THE NEXT NATIONAL **** YEAH

Mad props to Boom, though; so pumped to watch these vids.

My match with Sensei is the craziest thing I've ever done in SSB. My match with Jaime was a close second. I hope you guys enjoy the videos when they are posted.

This tournament was ridiculous. JaimeHR vs. both me and Kefit were game 5 last stock high percentage nail biters, and as Kefit said, pretty much everything else in the top-16 was as well. Everything from round 3 winners and beyond was recorded, as well as every high profile losers bracket match. I was also very impressed with the skill level of people that I previously hadn't heard of, such as Hard B0dy and gio. We probably had nearly 100 people watching Grand Finals (including lots of top Melee / Brawl players) and we recorded commentary as well.

We have a 8-team doubles bracket starting tomorrow at 11am! I'll post a full results thread once the weekend is over, but for now here's the singles results.

If I have a regret in life, it's missing Apex 2012. Sounds like you guys had a blast, and looking at the placing I think I recognized every name in the placing of 17th and up. In other words- STACKED! I look forward to the vids and congrats to Boom!

and good stuff Kefit, we all knew you were good, but now I'm effing scared ;)
PS: definitely feel you about getting vocal in intense matches. Happens sometimes lol.

I'm pretty satisfied with my performance. Especially for just my very first console tournament.

I went 1-2 vs both JaimeHR and Kefit.

This tournament was the best ever, SO STACKED! <3

Tournament was awesome.

Props goes out to Jaime, who got through two extremely intense sets one after the other. His matches against Kefit were insane. The top 16 was very competitive and there should be videos of all of them.

Also a deserved job well done by the 64 TO staff, namely Hamburglar, Chain-Ace, and Nintendude, as well as anyone else who helped out and brought setups/recording equipment, for running a smooth a successful tournament (unlike the rest of apex which is facing some real problems), recording matches, and generally being nice people.

Teams brackets, and hopefully some character battles and MM tomorrow.

As for me, I lost on a 2-1 against Nintendude in losers with all three matches of my Fox vs Nintendude's Mario on dreamland. I thought those matches were pretty exciting and I'm looking forward to watching them over. In winners I dropped to Kefit on a 2-0.

I was sitting pretty close to the mic the entire time, so I wouldn't be surprised if some of my grunts made it on to the recordings, but I firmly believe that they were all well placed :)
