I got yer back bro.

seriously though Hopefully we'll just be playing smash64 the whole time. I don't mind if my tvs are needed for melee or something, but i would rather have constant friendlies or recorded MMs or 12char battles going.

if ssb64 has its own corner or space or whatever just leave it there and no one really uses it. if it's in the midst of everything you'd probs have to guard it. however, it'd be ridiculously fun i imagine to walk up to it after some kids hi-jacked it for their own game, unplugged everything of theirs and then just walked off with your t.v.

akin to me accidently knocking out a power cord ruining like 5 tourament brawl matches :awesome:

Ok so I want to bring my T.V. but I only want it to be used for ssb64 is there any way that I can do that?
Also can someone bring an extra n64 console with ssb64 because I don't have one atm.
as far as i know, there will be plenty of setups. just bring a remote, probs two just in case.

Those Brawl players didn't hurt ciaza because Brawl players are never aggressive if you catch my drift

no, it was because we had like 8 people chilling in the corner with our massive projector + 3 setups and he hid behind us like a dirk

what's more unforgivable is his ability to trip up and ruin recordings of matches

Things I've learned from midwestern tourneys:

1. You can never have too many setups

2. You can never have enough setups

ya so megavolt and someone else didnt enter and told me last min to put them in( last min being today ) . At this point its difficult to put anyone in the full bracket. So I wanted to let the 64 community know and see what can be done.

Alex it seems like we may have a decent amount of setups. Is there a number of setups that would allow us to do some sort of initial pool play allowing a more random number of entrants, or is it strictly a time thing?

would be a shame to not have megavolt in the tourney, despite his last minuteness.

It is more of a time thing. I mean the main issue is that they told me about this late ( as in today ) when most of the spots were taken by others.

I would be very much ok with seeing if 10 setups work with a bracket of 66 ppl ...they would be the only exceptions but it is up to the staff as a whole and right now we are turning many people down for asking last min to register...esp in games we had a limit for.

yeah i agree no megavolt/any player that wanted to join would be lame..but if we are THAT pressed for time...it's not up to us to do pools.

also alex, i remember seeing that PEEF Melee State of the Game video(Episode 5 HERE if anyone's interested) with you saying on the mic that a nintendo rep might be there and on that note, i wanted to know if it would be okay with you for me to bring a n64gameshark for friendlies to the venue.

Yo, megavolt invented the megavolt, he needs to be there.

Y'all should do a 67 man tourney or whatever, if only to beat FC-Diamond

But yeah kick some melee ***** out before denying megavolt

Pools for this would be really cool cause it would give everyone more matches to play and make some players who are flying out just to play some ssb more happy as they get more matches with players they have not played, but dont think they will happen as it takes alot of time to do them :(. Also seems they are working on the bracket when done it should be posted on here.

I noticed that megavolt was missing from the registration list. I don't see a problem with doing a 67-man bracket but I'll talk more closely with the stafff about this.

We will be sticking with a 64-man bracket. If megavolt and valoem wish to enter, they'll have to try and buy someone else's spot. If worst comes to worst they can still enter the 2v2 tournament on SUNDAY at 11AM.
