I've been told countless times by people that the more you play smash, the better you get.

Well, im not saying I'm Very skillful, in fact on a scale of one to 10 i'd rate myself a 6.5,
but if anyone wants to chalenge me, i'm itching to wi-fi some of these ness-boarders, to see how much i've improved since my first tourney. I'd love to get a few pointers afterwards if at all possible. just post here if you want to fight me, (free for all,1v1, or doubles), and i'll respond as soon as possible :D

Well, technically that's true. But if you continue playing people who don't even surpass your own skill, then you're not really moving up. Playing smart is also another factor.

I agree with uffe...
My whole style is mind-(read/game) based. In order to do that, you have to quickly think of everything possible at once and immediately determine the best solution. Chess helps that part a lot.

My hint to get better: pick up chess for the smarts, pick up melée for the skillz. My recent encounter with melée made me see lots more involving everything smash related.

I'll play you whenever (once I get my friend code on here)
I'm pretty good with Ness, but I like to use other characters to, so you can get some practice in.
Also, taking breaks and playing other games and jumping back on smash helps me improve my game.

I meant for more in the long run. I've stopped playing smash for about 4 months and hopped back on. Within a few days, I was much better than before. ;D Trust me, man, it did me wonders.

Oh. Well. That too. xD I stopped playing for.. Heck, I think it was a year. It took me about a week or two to get better, though. But I guess that's relatively quick considering that year before was only for a few days. xD

The tourney in Poinciana, florida, In the cafeteria of Discovery intermediate ( a middle school) its not official, but we convinced our principal to let us hold one we're going to be charging $5 per singles and 10 for double (per team) but we're still not that experinced in tourney holding so we're still planning a bit the rules are simple, but ill be happy to give you more info through PM
