Anyone else think Mr. Game and Watch should Return?

It's not obvious, but Mr. Game & Watch is there for two big reasons. Smash is a fans game, and also is a tribute to the developers that make the games from which Smash derives it's many characters, stages, etc. The Game & Watch series was Nintendo's first venture into video games so, in affect, no Game & Watch = No Nintendo. The creator of this series, Gunpei Yokoi, died some years ago. SO, Mr. Game & Watch is in Smash to represent the Game & Watch series, a series that helped Nintendo become what it is today, AND to show respect for the late Gunpei Yokoi, who was also a very important asset to Nintendo and helped it become what it is today.
Not to mention his moveset is unique, each attack deriving from one of his many games.
Mr. Game & Watch for Brawl.

I'm Oasis_S on this one. The sentimental implications behind him are just to important to overlook. That and the fact he's up their with Samus as the coolest character in the SSB series. :/ :\

I don't like Mr.Game&Watch,He does have good attacks but i think it would be better if he were in 3D

I disagree , HumanIce. He may be old and flat but he's unique , play as him for a while and you may start to like him.

Mr.Game&Watch was fun for a while, but his bacon flipping and random attacks, plus annoying clicking when he walked was just old after a while. I, personally don't think he should return, but in the case he does, I think his moves should be the same, but get rid of that annoying clicking sound!
His Final Smash should be to turn everyone 2-D and make them immobile. Then, he can hit them for three times the amount of damage.
In the case he isn't a playable character, he can still be an Assist Trophy.

He should stay because of Pit's inclusion. Both of them along with Samus were the main characters of the 3 series created by Gunpei Yokoi, who also created the original Game Boy, was a mentor to Miyamoto & just as big a part in Nintendo's early video game sucess as him. It's been a decade since Gunpei died, I think it would be a fitting tribute to have his all 3 characters (plus a Game Boy stage) in 1 place.

Does anyone actually have a good argument as to why he Mr. G&W shouldn't return? So far I've seen crappy arguments like:
-Knight
- Wario moves like him so that means Mr. G&W is out. The problem with that argument is that there are plenty of character that move similar to others in SSB.
- I don't like him. Personal opinions like that really shouldn't come into play; I don't really like Ganondorf; but that doesn't mean he shouldn't return.
- Insert < He's too old, hasn't had a game in years, no one knows who he is argument> Problem with that is that Pit's in the game.

Basically the only real argument is "I suck as him therefore he sucks and shouldn't be in the game" Anything else people say is crap to try and strengthen their argument

Very unique character and all but c'mon....that guy was just annoying as ever...his clicking sound....his bacon...and all that dumb stuff....I'd like to see WaLuigi take his spot honestly....I know WaLuigi doesnt have his own game but hes been featured in many(Mario Kart DD, Mario Strikers Charged etc) and a moveset wouldnt be hard for him either

Did you just say..... Waluigi take Mr. G&W's place? You clearly have no taste in "good" characters. Waluigi is the dumbest character suggestion he hasn't had a single game where he was important. I mean heck Daisy could give him a run for his money for a playable spot...
Oh well that falls under the 3 dumb arguments for Mr. G&W's removal.

I like Game & Watch. He has really fun combos you can do on Spacies. He has his own unique moveset, I mean how many characters have such crazy priority with a few select moves. Plus G&W has Firefighters helping him. >.>;
Anyways at first I thought G&W was lame. But then he turned out to be a pretty fun character to mess with.
Besides we need more black people in Brawl!!!!

Guess I'll put it to you like this...Mr. G&W is garbage! and "I" would like to see Waluigi take his spot "you" think Waluigi is the dumbest character suggestion and characters like Daisy, Waluigi, Birdo, Petey, King Boo will probably never have a game where they are "important"..but if it came down to it...Waluigi would have a single player game before Daisy...end

I doubt Waluigi would replace Game and Watch , but I can agree with you on the clicking being annoying.
Besides , if you look closely Waluigi only shows up in the racing and sports games like Mario Strikers

I think Waluigi's voice, constantly grunting and screaming, would get more annoying than any sound Mr. Game & Watch could make...
They both could be in it...that would be great...but if it came down to it...id just rather see Waluigi in before G&W but thats just me

Waluigi has little, if any hope. He's only appeared in Mario spin-offs, and has little roll in the main Mario series. I like Waluigi and all, but he'd be a waste of a spot. Honestly, most every character has a moveset based off their games=wat would Waluigi's be=??? Especially if he took the spot of a classic, original, and fun character like Mr. Game and Watch, who is the original Nintendo SUPERSTAR!

And most people hate Mr. Game & Watch because he's low tier. However, without him, Nintendo wouldn't exist.
And these same people only want Sheik to return because she's high tier. Even though she only appeared in ONE game.
