I'm not 100% convinced, but this guy was right about the two characters being revealed. That's a pretty unusual coincidence. Not only that, but the things that this guy says don't sound completely ********, unlike some of the things other people claiming to have inside info have said.

I'm not sold either, but that "one veteran, one newcomer" thing certainly is interesting. It's worthy keeping an eye on, methinks.

Huh? I predicted two character updates this week as well with the same guidelines. Though I was surprised about Pokémon Trainer, I knew thursday or friday would be Captain Falcon or Peach since revealing the next Mother character would kill too much tension too soon.

The point is, while those are logical and realistic numbers, anyone could have made this weeks predictions and there is no proof that this is correct.

It was based on coincidence. Besides, these trolls that keep coming here telling "inside" information are liars. Anyone could've done this with no knowledge of any of their conclusions being exactly right since they have absolute no proof before the update.

Arg this thread beat mine by like 10 minutes while i was making mine. Anyway it's not all that unlikely that there is a leak. Melee's entire roster was leaked this early and noone believed it until the game came out

The thing that really makes me doubt it is the fact that the guy is being so vague about it. If he really has the info, why not post the entire character list? Why not specifically say that Pokemon Trainer and Peach would be revealed this week, instead of saying "two characters(one new, one returning)"?

Still, this is the first guy to come along with supposed inside information that actually make me think that he could be telling the truth. Everyone else is obviously lying. I've seen info leaked on plenty of other video games before, so it's not impossible that this could be true. I've been surprised, up to this point, that Sakurai has been able to keep everything so secretive.

Actually.... The week b4 we didn't get anybody. Everybody was expecting Peach. He probably took a wild guess and thought since they have been releasing new newcomers he would think there would be a new comer and also Peach, who was skiped out last week. So 1 week with 0 chars = 1 week with 2 chars.

Peach was known to be in this week and a new comer was also because they wouldn't just stop after Ike.

And plus, he didn't even say who the characters would be. So its not like it was impossible to guess.

I'm not saying that we should just believe this guy without question. But things do get out. They did for Melee. As of now, I'd say it's probably not true. And before the two characters were revealed this week, I wouldn't have even given it a second thought. But since he was right about that(and I don't care what anybody says, that's a HUGE coincidence), I think it's something we should keep an eye on.

If it's true, I think it will be Ness who is removed and replaced with Lucas. A lot of people have thought that for a while now anyway. It was also supposedly going to happen in Melee, but didn't due to Lucas's game being delayed or something.

Another reason I could see Ness being replaced with Lucas is the fact that the Franklin Badge item says "Mother" instead of "Earthbound". Lucas's game was never released in the United States and was never called Earthbound, so if he were to appear in Smash he would be credited as appearing from Mother and not Earthbound.

There is no evidence that any of the original 12 are leaving, other then a few idiots who think they know everything. (but obviously don't.)

Luigi better return, or I'm not wasting $250 on the Wii. I have better things I can buy.

To remove Luigi would be terribly sad. We already have Peach and Bowser confirmed. There's so much that could be done to make Luigi less of a clone. If he was removed it'd tell me that Brawl is not worth my money, because somebody got lazy. >_>

According to him, Ness is leaving and Lucas will be the next confirmed newcomer. I don't know if I trust him. He was accused of posting a fake roster for some wrestling game two years ago, but he denies it so I don't know if he did or not.

I guess if the next newcomer isn't Lucas we'll know he's just another idiot. I hope we get another newcomer Monday. It the next one does turn out to be Lucas, that'd be pretty wierd.

I still feel like if he had info he wanted to share he'd just tell us everything he knows in one post. The way he's playing games and just saying a few things in each post makes me think he's just some idiot who wants attention.
