I don't think 34 is an accurate number for characters, and he said that by the end of the week we'd have seen that he was right twice. Where's the twice? Does he credit himself for the two character thing as being right twice?
We've already seen 18 characters.. 17 if you don't include transformations.
From Melee, there was:
Dr.Mario-removed?
Mario
Luigi
Bowser
Peach
Yoshi
Donkey Kong
Captain Falcon
Ganondorf
Falco-removed?
Fox
Ness-removed? one of the original 12
Ice Climbers-
Kirby
Samus
Zelda
Link
Young Link-removed?
Pichu-removed?
Pikachu
Jigglypuff
Mewtwo
Game and Watch-removed?
Marth
Roy
So that leaves us with 19, and without one of the original 12.
From Brawl, we've seen:
Mario
Link
Kirby
Pikachu
Fox
Samus/Zero Suit Samus
Zelda
Bowser
Donkey Kong
Yoshi
Peach
Pit
Wario
Ike
Pokemon Trainer
Metaknight
Snake
Adding these together, we have a total of 25 characters again. If this guy is right, that means that 5 of the characters we've already seen are hidden, which goes against what I previously thought..
We've seen 6 newcomers so far, so if what this guy says is true, that leaves us with 9 more to expect. At the rate they've been unveiled to us so far, it feels safe to call that inaccurate--- Pit was revealed roughly 3 months ago, and the game comes out roughly 3 months from now, so if the rate stays the same, we should only see 6 more newcomers by December. This brings the total number of characters so far up to 31 (unless Snake and Metaknight are both revealed within this time. That would make it 29), BUT, the veteran characters have been revealed at a much faster rate (almost twice as often, we have 11), and if the rate continues, we'll see 11 more by December (should the updates continue that long). This brings the total up to 43 (or 41 if Snake and Metaknight are revealed.).
I know it's not too trustworthy to go by logic and math, due to the randomosity we've seen in the updates, but I'm sure it's a hell of a lot more trustworthy than some random voice... or not! FRICK!
I really wish I knew if he was right..
