I didn't see a topic about this any where I looked so I thought I'd post here. (if there is one just link me plz)

I know this might be a little difficult to do since it gets updated almost every other day... but I would like to see a B+ tierlist if there is one available :D

Under the ground.
Don't expect one for at least 6 months or a year.

Though we do have a general idea of those who really need buffs still and those who would be in Top 10.

Wouldn't an optimal B+ tier list just look like this?

SS Tier
Everyone

Well considering its still in beta and being tweaked, I don't think we can have a tier list at this point.

The final result of Brawl+ could be seen as a game which is based not on a tier list but a matchup chart.

Certainly, some characters are better than others right now. That's an inescapable fact, and no amount of tweaking will create a game where every character has truly equal chances of winning.

However, when every character has multiple matchups that they must struggle to win, and a few where they maintain the upper ground, as well as a majority of even games, we can be happy. The game is about every character being unique and having a unique set of matchups including strengths and weaknesses, rather than some unachievable goal of "perfect" balance.

I would expect a tier list to come out after we have had a decent time in playing the Gold release of the Plussery.

When that finally happens, I would say that it should be done like the Street Fighter tier lists. The Smashboards way of doing it is just flawed, because too much of it boils down to opinion; even the most experienced players can have flaw in their opinion. A purely matchup based list can't be argued against because it is based only of how well that character performs.

As of this moment not really. The building blocks of the tier list are known right now (Like a general idea of who would go where) but that's about it. And since the 'final' set of tweaks haven't been completed if anyone were to make a list now, it'd be a beta tier list anyways.

The optimal tier list for brawl + would be like a soul calibur tier list.

Maybe 4-5 very good chars.
then everyone else is about equal and all viable.

I think a Gold version is close to being finished. Top would be Fox, Lucas, Marth, Snake, Meta-Knight, Sheik/Zelda. Then everyone else would be high. Link, Yoshi, Ness, Ganon would be mid.

Jigglypuff doesn't need luck.

I don't like the idea of a tier system for b+. A balanced web of matchups that would require a person to play more than 1 or 2 (or even 3) characters would be the ideal imo.

I'd tell you, but no.

I'm seeing WeeGee being high because he has very little trouble with killing, has that ridiculous Utilt, attacks from Street Fighter, can Crawl Bounce, and his grabs are amazing.

The best part about is I think all the characters Yingyay mentioned as 'high tier' are all in fact very solid characters. Arguably some of the bests. But at the same time I could argue for Falco, Luigi, ZSS, and maybe Falcon as well as many others could be there too. My point is that you can ask just about anyone that has been playing Brawl+ for a long time and they'll have different opinion.

Sure, some characters like Marth will always be regarded as one of the best but the point I'm making is that we really don't and probably won't have a standard tier list. Every character has their strengths, weaknesses, good matchups and bad matchups and I feel we are really close to a game where a skilled fighter should be able to overcome their opponent.

That being said, the demand for a tier list will eventually make the community cave and I'm sure a list will be made, but the inevitable matchup chart will be a much more reliable way of seeing how your character stacks up.

It's stilll being balanced and worked on, so a tier list is a long way off.
