Hey, fellow Link players! I've been browsing throughout these Link forums. I, too, am a Link mainer. I'm up-to-date with the ATs of Link, and they are part of my game. Unfortunately, I do not have the means to show you my skills through video, but I promise you that I am good. I also cannot currently play online yet. I've seen videos of the top Link players, and I can safely say that I am one of them also. So far the advanced Link players that I know in Brawl are: Deva, Legan, ArkiveZero, Aurashade, Izaw, Skler, and maybe Force. I also know about the Germ, and Aniki (melee). Are they playing Brawl? If I missed any other good Link player please let me know. I am more interested in learning more from you guys rather than pit your Links against mine. It's all about showing that Link isn't a push over character that can't win tournaments. Link FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bee:

I will not make a Link guide, as there are already plenty of them. I will try to get one of my friends who can post videos on YouTube to record a match with me in it. I'm known as ALSM(AeroLink the SoulMaster, obviously). I play wearing the Dark Link costume. I forgot to mention that I've only played in one small worthless tournament where the only competion was Mario which I 3-stocked in 5-stock match, no item, Final Destination. I won the tournament, but that's nothing to brag about, considering that some or few of you like Legan has participated in a high level smash tourney. I think I would place well in a high level tournament. I've battled quite a few good Falco, even the ones that spam. Anyways I hope you guys welcome me as one the elite, or at least a respectable player.

JK, you seem a lot better than some of the other members joining. Try to be a bit more humble. Coming in saying your good isn't very respectful. Even if you actually are.

I'm sorry if I came off as arrogant or cocky, but I really am a good player. I will not say that I am the best, but I will try to get a video of me soon, and you can be the judge of that.

Well the germ placed 17th in the biggest tournament brawl has had yet, however i'm not sure if he was playing link or not, he sold out on link for Cfalc in the melee days anyways i think and aniki was overall better (but germ got style points for sorta becoming the first well known nasty melee pressure link) correct me if i'm wrong guys. Also aero you can't just proclaim yourself to be the best you have to start placing in tournaments, I guarantee I have been to more tourneys then any other link since brawl came out (however i was garbage in melee) Yet all I've ever done on these forums is rant about interesting ideas i've had. Internet reputation is dumb anyways. True respect comes out of the local community.

Force, Germ plays Wolf now. Unsurprisingly, he's probably the best Wolf player around, atm.

ALSM, the general way to get accepted as an experienced player is by posting informative and helpful posts, or by placing well in tournies. Claiming you're experienced with no proof often upsets the masses, though it's a good thing Aurashade is on your side. He's at least twice as manly as Captain Falcon, no one wants to mess with that ****.

I hope some of my posts have been useful, I hope to go to all the tournaments in the south this summer, I should be going to one in Memphis next week, and one in Atlanta the following weekend.

This is a good website to go to for tournament information. http://www.allisbrawl.com/browse.aspx?t=2&s=0&page=3&dt1=1

Welcome. I hope what you've said so far doesn't go untrue. I myself don't go to big tourneys. I don't really care about them too much. I consider myself a high average Link, if not better, but that's just me. I do wish you the best of luck though. The first small tourney I ever went to I wouldn't call a tourney at all. In fact it was the dumbest kind thing I've ever seen. All it was, was a free for all the entire tournament and Wavedashing (I was playing Melee at the time) was banned from the tournament....wow. I lost only because I was kicking everybody's @$$es and a Marth player and Ganondorf player team up on me. T_T. Sad truth. Make something of yourself ALSM!

every time I walk down the street all the little girls get massive erect little hardons and immediately piss themselves. I'm the manliest one on this forum aside the fact that I'm god.

Don't worry I will make something of myself. I'm pretty sure there are quite few more good Links unknown to the online world. I know someone who is really good with Mario, but he doesn't participate in tournaments or go online. He just plays for fun. So you never know who's out there in the world of billions of people.

Go to big tourny, then loose, then understand that you aren´t as good as you think.

What I just wanna say that I thought I was one of the better links in melee, before I went to a tourny. In the tourny I lost to a fox (I won the first match at Battlefield, in the second one at pokemon stadium I was just a KO away from winning, but the last match was on Final Destination, the stage I hate the most and he only lost one of four stocks) That made my confidence go gone, don´t let that happen to you.

Humbleness is your freind.

I've seen videos of your fights. You're pretty good. I would like to go to a big tourney; i just need time to do it. I'm usually doing other stuff like tennis and music (I play the piano/keyboard and I'm actually trying to start a band). Anyways, I will try to get videos posted of me.

I want to kill your link. With both ICs and Falco :p
Bring it. None of those characters intimidate me. I know how good Falco and Ice Climbers can be. I'll PM you later for a brawl. I just need to use my friend's WiFC. But, I'd rather meet you in person and show you the might of Link. Have you faced any of the good Link mainers?
Any Link mainer know how good this guy is?

Happened to this kid at my school who claimed he was the best at my school until i literally **** in his face. Now his reputation is in shambles. Just a word of advice ;)

lol, thx. I shouldn't have said any claims until proven so. I'm not worried though, I'll put up some vids. I don't want people to have high expectations, although I don't feel any pressure to prove anything whatsoever. But I do want to make myself known in the Smash community.

You forgot the best Link on melee was Lord HDL and beileve me when I told you I saw both germ and HDL style of play and HDL was the best By a lot altough Germ was the closest one compared to aniki who was a complete joke.

Dont feel bad aero but you got a lot to learn. first dash attack and then full jump Fair are unsafe moves and you spam that . Im sorry guys but the only good link Ive seen right now is IZAW and still need to see 1 vs 1. But from what I seen my link is better than most of you and I dont main him I just play safe and intelligent. wow and aurashade if ur god please show me a vid of your link so I can see how good you really are the rest of the links on the boards please try to get some strategies on your game instead of thinking you are good cause you beat your friends.

peace

A bunch of random bull**** that's very obviously wrong.
Who the **** are you?

Anyway.

@AeroLink: After watching that video you posted, I can SAFELY ASSUME you probably won't come close to beating some of the better Link players. However, you're only making trivial mistakes that can easily be fixed so long as you look to fix them. Please don't mind me, I'm an EXTREMELY blunt person when I'm serious.

1) You roll WAY, WAY TOO MUCH. Dear lord, please, stop. <3
2) I personally don't like your spacing. Spacing is more mental than anything, IMO, and what you're doing is definitely not spacing. Try to feel the stage out more, and take your time, the game isn't fast, no matter who you're playing as/against.
3) Your stage control isn't very good. Link has great projectiles, use them. No, seriously. Use them.
4) Too much fair. Too much. I'm personally not a fan of fair, but, you over use it. I prefer to nair/dsmash/utilt/usmash a lot, lot more. Zair is way too useful to not use. Cut back on the dash attacks, too. Try not to shield grab with Link unless you're guaranteed a grab.

Over all, just stop rolling too much and space yourself better. Being comfortable on the stage is when Link's at his best. Use any and all stages to your advantage, Link's good at that.

I live close to HDL and went to evo world and placed 13th. and plan to go to evo again even thought they have stupid rules, items.

1. Items are not stupid, don't be one more person who is gay like that and complains whenever somthing than can potentially harm your game, learn to adapt, it'll make you better.

2. Seeing is not being. You are not germ so don't bring him up.

Dude, really? You live close to HDL? That is like so cool. In fact, I think it's so cool, I'm going to let you take a swig from my care cup: [_]p
...
Oh ****, whoops.
IT'S EMPTY.

The GERM wasn't that amazing, TBO. Flashy, yes. He placed DECENTLY. But he was no where near the likes of Aniki.
I'm pretty sure HDL quit Link sometime in early 2007, or really late 2006.
Aniki is the best Melee Link player to date. Stating otherwise just further proves your stupidity.
If you'd like to continue needlessly arguing with me, send it to me in a PM, so I can delete it.

Lol. Even back then, I didn't roll that much. I did roll alot as did my friend. It did make the gameplay seem faster with all those rolls. I've learned to mix in side-stepping as well as rolling. I'm pretty sure you noticed when my friend would roll behind me, I would roll away for spacing. Now I just anticipate a roll right into the range of my strike zone. Zair wasn't a part of my game as much as it is now. I do notice that I don't up-tilt as much. I've seen the better Link players, and I can compete with them. I guess I should fight one of them. Also, I said specifically not to judge my skill level based on this particular video. It's just a friendly match, but I appreciate the advice. I have recordings of my latest fights, so I'll post them soon. Just wait.

I haven't seen LordHDL's vids, but I'll look into it. Also, this vid is old, and I've learned the price of dash attack and fair, due to playing a counter-attacking Pikachu who would just patiently wait for my dash attacks, block the attack and then immediately d-smash and (once I was in the air) spam thunder. I also said not to judge my skills based on the vid. I'm better now. I will post more recent vids. Anyway, playing with my friends, and with the level 9 computers will not prove anything, so apparently I must fight one of the better Links or rather a good possible high-tier-character player. Online can be laggy, and there are inconvenient locations of big tourneys due to my location and time. So what to do? I'll just have to post vids.
