Correction: I can't wavedash. Well, I sorta can, but not consistently, and definitely not enough to integrate it. I think I only played at one Melee UMB. I got my *** handed to me by some random Pikachu player. Me and Epic were barely able to beat Bowyer and Scotu in doubles during round robins, though. I remember being kinda surprised when I went, since nobody there heard of me, or even knew about my translation thread at the time. Given, I wasn't a mod, but nobody seemed to care about Brawl at all back then ^_^''

I'll be surprised if there is anybody that will be at that smashfest that wouldn't have at least 3 stocked me in Melee. Other than Vayseth of course :D

Does anyone else have any recording equipment? I have my camera but I just discovered the battery charger no longer works, so I don't know how much battery life I will have on the actual tournament day.

that is an excellent point overswarm.

currently we have the ability to be recording on 2 setups. however, we can easily have more if people just bring vcrs! im going out to buy a bunch of blank VHS tapes, so don't worry about those. then ill capture all the tapes and divide them up/put them online on sunday. you are also welcome to bring your own tapes to have your own recordings to take home, if you like.

yeah i know this is an old fashioned method, but it works, so yeah. so to recap what people are requested to bring:

VCRS w/1 RCA CABLE (the yellow white and red one)
SSBM/SSBB
TVS!
WIIS
GAMECUBES!

oh, and also: vayseth's friend who works for mountain dew contacted us and apparently is going to have some mountain dew station setup for us to have FREE mountain dew during the saturday tournament. not bad eh?

The cool thing is there will be demo flavors that you can't get anywhere else! It should be fun. Just... do him a favor and allow him to take pics of you drinking mountain dew and having a good time, for his PR stunt XD

Release forms aren't necessary if it is a private event and you just put a notice up saying "if you are in this building, we can use your image or likeness". Just FYI.

I want to see at least half a dozen money matches recorded and uploaded!

oh we will have a LOT more than a half dozen matches up. my friend and i have an editing studio rented for sunday, so we should have a lot of them uploaded then.

we are also thinking about creating a logging system (pen and paper) at the recording stations so that people can log their own matches and rate them/make notes

that way we can try and be more efficient/organized when we go through them all on sunday

I have commute, go to work, then go to a class at 4, which will end at 6:30, and I don't want to pay for parking or move the car, so can I park at the church? Oh yeah, and I'm giving Epic a ride, so mind if he stays at the Truth House when I come?

If Epic gets dropped off to my house before I leave then I'll be able to bring it, but if I have to go pick him up then I can't. So, if everything goes swimmingly, we could potentially bring 4 TVs, although its unlikely we'll be staying for the tournament on Saturday ^_^''
