Actually, that is OBVIOUSLY fake if you look at the characters. He mixes hiragana and katakana where the two really shouldn't be shown together; he also uses the kanji for "down" on Sonic's FAir.

All you proved is that they were edited in Photoshop right before they were posted. I use photoshop all the time for cropping/resizing, so it COULD have been just that.

However, as Aeris pointed out, anyone who knows Japanese can tell they're fake:
"やっュ"= mixing hiragana and katakana and also since the "ユ" is small it's not even close to being an actual word. Basically, they did this: "gh4g2hi" in Japanese.
"ャージ" is another nonexistant scramble of letters.

I made a smash bros 300 trailer thing on youtube that I told everyone about. That was direct access to my youtube account. There's a decent amount of info on there as well, as well as a link to my myspace.

He was a tester. I know that's rehashed and contrite for a source, but its the truth. He was under the NDA, so I don't know why he so openly bragged about this stuff. And yes, there are testers in America.

He said something about Pit's final smash being buggy and locking up the game if you died while it was happening, or something to that effect. Not really any good info or anything, just a funny little story.

Anyway, I'm 21, if you were at all wondering.

Question: Should I stay around for this whole WHOBBY thing, I'm not sure I want anything else spoiled for me?

Its just another demo, so I doubt it'll spoil anything important. At worst an AT or Pokèball might deconfirm someone, but that'd be all that could happen.

Frankly, even though we DIDN'T get any confirmation of Zelda's Down+B, many are 99% certain that Sheik will be returning. I didn't entirely buy the fact that his details were REALLY fuzzy regarding Sheik anyway. I may change the reasoning behind his debunking, but I can't figure out what exactly to say about him :/

I would advise against debunking someone for predicting something that you personally don't THINK will happen.

It has Ashley, Lethe, and Apollo Justice for crying out loud. Shes not even trying to make it realistic or believable. Its one of those things thats deconfirmed by simple common sense.

Re-added Vatro Xu, as he technically wasn't debunked yet. I'll make a separate section for Serebii, since he does technically not have as much credibility on this forum as he would like, so he would be considered a leaker. However, his section will be INCREDIBLY small (like two or three bullets), since he's barely said a thing.

Actually, the underlying reason I created the index was...(this might sound silly) but to attempt to find the REAL leaked roster. We didn't have one of these when Melee was on the brink of coming out, and everyone was attacking each other. This way, we can derive a pattern, and see who's fibbing and who's telling the truth.

The prophet debunking is a bonus :D

Basically, scroll the "Rumors Run Rampant" thread. Serebii makes his presence known a lot in there. Usually, from what I've seen, he describes outlandish rosters that just so happen to have both Lucario & Mewtwo on them to be false.

Wait, that's not really right at all... Muddy Mole's been confirmed as an assist trophy at Whobby 2008. Monty Mole is just a rather plain mole enemy in the Mario series, and Muddy Mole is from a Gameboy Game called Mole Mania, which Sakurai apparently likes a whole bunch.

So I think you should fix this quote, since a more important mole being an assist trophy could very well mean this quote is actually a lie... unless you somehow think Rapscouter got his moles mixed up, or he's just been lying all this time and knows nothing, but that's for later!
