Basically disscuss AMUSEMENT PARKS!

What rides should a person go on for instance in amusement parks?

What's the scariest ride you've EVER been on?

Thanks for your support:)

So yeah, not the best timing for this, but local news tonight said that the parks' schedule wouldn't be affected, and they would open without people being fired or anything. I've never been to any of the parks, even though visiting the one closest to me is practically required for residence in my state. Meh. Someday, though.

LOL, a question for anyone in Europe but has anyone been to the six flags in Holland called (I think) Walabi World?

It had a big ferris wheel, some rollercoasters and a giant log ride

Read the link I posted above. It's not just a Six Flags in NY. (Is there one in NY anyway?) It's the entire company that owns all of the arks, from Great Adventure to Magic Mountain. But they're still going on as planned this summer.

Also, I always thought there were 6 parks, hence the name, but there are like 20 apparently. Hm...

I've been to Magic Mountain once. The whole time there, the only roller coaster I could get on was Batman.

Ive been told that the Superman in San Antonio isn't as good as the reviews it gets and such.
I don't like roller coasters but, Six Flags is fun, they have something for everyone, that is all:)

If normally you go to Dorney, but are going to a Six Flags, then I'd guess you're going to Great Adventure, in Jersey. There's supposed to be a ton of stuff there. There's Kingda Ka if you like waiting 4 hours while the ride breaks and is fixed. Seriously, every story I hear about someone going on it involves waiting for it to be fixed. Then there's a whole load of other stuff.

Also, since this topic's OP was changed to parks in general, Dorney is the bomb. Steel Force is as epic awesome as they come, the generic-named wooden one is fun and not too excessively shaky, Talon is sweet, and Hydra's first part is hilarious. Seriously, a slow corkscrew right out of the loading dock? Love it.

Dorney Park is about 10 minutes from my house. I used to go there a lot, but it's really expensive, so I rarely go anymore. Steel Force and Talon are great. Hydra is pretty good, too.

I've also been to Cedar Point, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, King's Dominion, and Hershey. My favorite coaster is probably Alpengeist at Busch Gardens. It's been a while, but I remember loving it. I'd like to get over to Six Flags in NJ sometime this summer since I've never been there.

I've been to Hershey so many times that I don't need a map. Most of my theme park firsts are there. First coaster: Comet. First loop: of course the Looper. First hanging coaster: Great Bear. Such a great place. I still remember going there almost every year, hoping I'd have grown enough to move up to the next height group, and all the classic rides there. I've probably been to Hershey almost 20 times, counting Candylane visits in the winter, and I don't even live in PA.
