Wow, that sucks that everyone's having such a hard time with wave 4... For once, unbelievably, my usual terrible luck gave way and I was able to preorder the two I wanted: Ness and Pac. Hearing that orders were to go live at 3 that day, when I was going to be at work, I was pretty bummed... I have a super old brickphone, so I knew I wouldn't be able to try online. Desperate, I actually asked my boss if I could use her phone, which she actually agreed to (she's super awesome, by the way). Of course, that was before I knew it was in store only... nothing ever came up on the site, so I pretty much gave up at that point.
Then, I went on my break, about at 5:30. There's a Gamestop right across the street from my work, so I thought, 'hey, why not?' and drove over, in five o'clock traffic no less, to check. Upon asking if they were still taking wave 4 preorders, the clerk said "some of them.". I replied, "so probably not Ness, right?". Then, to my absolute shock, he said Ness was actually one of the few that were left. After I picked my jaw up off the floor, my only words were, "DONE. Let's do this." While he was processing everything, he also asked me if I wanted any of the others that were left. He said Pac Man was still available; I had though about Pac before, but I was on the fence. At that point though, I wasn't about to miss that opportunity, so I busted out my credit card and got both. It didn't even take my whole 30 minute break. I just kept looking at the order confirmation, astounded that it was actually real.
And, that's my wave 4 story. Hearing some of the other stories here, I see now how ridiculously lucky I am. I feel kinda bad though, as I'm not really a major collector, and somehow I got these two without really even trying. So sorry to everybody who had trouble...
