Mango's 15 and he's one of the best Jigglypuffs in the world, got 3rd at Super Champ Combo and Evo.... I want to say West.

And I'm 14.

Nice combos. I don't have an eye for Falcon since I don't play him and don't intend on doing so, but they looked nice. Idk, I would assume a better player would better critique your abilities. Main reason I'm here is to show that there are other good young players, but they're just rare.

Also, DaShizWiz is 16, as are Hanki and Butters (but they don't play anymore and are mainly just known in AZ. They managed to get Power Ranked, though)

There are a lot of people your age or less that actually play at high pro level. I know a couple that I play with. Age isn't a huge deal! Once you reach about 14-15 your brain is developed enough to take on all the techniques really.

I know you were mostly just goofing around, but working on your approaches would be good. Double jumped knee's won't work most of the time.

Silent Wolf and I just turned 17.

Ka Master is 16.

Ka Master was beating SKYPAL when he was 15.

So I'm pretty sure age isn't a factor at all.

Being good with Fox =/= massive skill

Being good with Falcon = massive skill

You may not think this, because you haven't mastered Fox yet...but trust me it's the way of the world.

Yeah, age is hardly a factor in skill (unless you're, like, seventy:laugh:...sorry:urg:)...and you're pretty good, actually...not that I can judge...my Falcon sucks >_<...

Your advanced tech skills have definitely improved since your early vids, good job and keep working on it. I suggest trying juggles on other characters besides bowser, who aren't such huge targets, aka Marth/Ganon.

I hope you post a new match with that cousin of yours...the commentary on those was priceless.

You're okay. Against a good Bowser, knee approaches would probably be eaten up by his F-air, which eats through pretty much everything that isn't Marth's Falcion. His Up tilt could also probably eat through Falcon's Down-Aerial. His Up-B is also faster than most of Captain Falcon's moves, and can be used to ledgehog. There are a number of times you went over the ledge, and Captain Falcon is one of the easier characters to ledgeguard, not to mention Bowser is literally the King of ledgeguarding with his high knockback aerial attacks, Fortress, and Forward tilt.

Your sex kick game was done really well though. Nine out of ten times, I'd use that to approach with over the Knee. Yeah, but don't use level 9 computers anyway. Shieldgrabbing them sucks horribly, and they Smash DI a lot more than most humans will.

Age doesn't have much to do with understanding how to play the game well.
OFT. I'm 13 and can take on all people in my town. Age goes from 12-20. Thing is all of them are noobs but one person in this town besides me. See age doesn't matter...Its your smash age that does. Also don't spam your nee at the end. After you took the first stock i was saying to myself "He's gonna use the nee..." before you did it which can get you easily combo'ed when people know what your doing =]

Also, to your comment about its harder to be good with falcon then anyone else, fox wants to talk to you.
Joenopride you have been sigged XD

Falcon kick.
Well.... ya pretty much age doesn't have anything to do with the amount of skill you had, when I was 15 I moved around faster than that without knowing about advanced techs. My brother is only 13, and plays a very advanced falco much better than your falcon. You need to play people. Have fun, if you don't have fun with the game and just use it to show off, you will NOT get good at the game. You're not bad, but your combos are very... well set up, you're not flexible... which is why you gotta play people.

The thing is, being able to l cancel and stuff doesn't really have anything to do with being good at the game. It will certainly help should you decide to become competitive though.

We can't really judge how good you are by videos against computers, but yeah, still some funny combos that shouldn't work.

If it means anything, I think you're a good drummer for 15, lol. Triplet 16th note fills rule.

you HAVE to play people! When you play people for the first time you will do much worse than u think u will (lvl 9 cpus dont D.I & dont even jump unless you do, which is apalling).

Smash age is what matters (Above actual age) so it depends on how long you've been playing it.

Also NEVER approach with the knee unless u know its gonna hit coz its so slow to come out, and if you r gonna approach with the stomp (I call it trousers bust) make sure you end up behind the opponents just in case they sheildgrab u.

Anyway nearly everything changes once u play a human, you need to learn to play mindgames to confuse them. and u cant really practice mindgames on a cpu. Hope this helped...

but if you overuse it, it becomes predictible. Wheras on the nair or jump cancelled grab is the best for approaching. I personally only use the knee at the end of a combo or if they dont expect it. But I guess its good to take chances sometimes...

No skill can be judged by playing computers, even tech skill. Because that's not true application. Application is what matters.

And yes, age is a factor, although at the 15~ level is when it matters less. But don't expect to see any pre-teens or young teens good at smash, it's just not possible.

I think that you're wrong, on both accounts.

Technical skill can be judged, he does hit l cancels for the most part, and he did do some good things, and his drumming is impressive.

Also, age is less of a factor than you may think (See: Mango) If you understand how the game works than you understand how the game works. It may be more common for older players to have a better grasp of the concept of how to play at a competitive level using all the techniques and things. But he's on the right track...

no offense but your playing a level 9 bowser. if you played real people that are used to playing better players, you'll get *****. yeah you know some techs and stuff but that doesn't matter without experience.

play real players, or at least a better level 9 than bowser

Hmph. Age doesn't matter it's how long you have played the game like i said before. I'm 13 and i guess you can call me a "young teen" huh. I play melee often and I'm around above average but when it comes to 64 i'v gotta say I'm around the top 15 and in the 3rd best crew. Seriously. Age doesn't matter.

and actually if you get a young kid (under 9 years old) who have somewhat deft fingers you can actually teach them to be really good a lot faster. or they can just learn on their own. young kids learn faster than older kids, and don't even debate this fact, because it's true.

so in a way age does kind of matter, but not if someone is already good at the game, which by the way, this kid ( who made the thread) is not so much.

Age doesnt matter. The reason you dont see too many younger people who dow ell is because they usually arent serious enough to become competitive. Also, I like cheese.

 That's what his Myspace says. Please, try not to post any info that you're not sure about. I talk to him at tournaments and he says he's in 10th grade and he's 15.
