Alright fellow Texans, I'm making a thread for Apex 2012 like I did for Genesis 2. Apex 2012 is taking place in NJ on January 6-8. It's not that month mark yet where plane tickets begin to rise, but you should start planning now.

SPECIAL DEAL:

Pretty sure people have probably posted this, but if you guys haven't bought your tickets yet, get them from southwest before the 20th.

Flights between Jan 4th - Feb 15th have these rates:

0 - 450 Miles $35
451 - 1,000 Miles $65
1,001 - 1,500 Miles $95
1,501 - and up $125

CA to NJ for $250 roundtrip is pretty sick imo. Just a heads up.

I looked up plane tickets out of Houston and currently they are $210 round trip! This is only possible because of that deal at the moment. In order to buy tickets using that deal, you have to buy your plane ticket by October 20th at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. I am seriously considering buying my ticket by Thursday.

If for some reason you don't buy tickets using that deal, current prices out of Houston are around $250+. I recommend you wait until around mid November to look at prices to buy. Try other airports in other cities if you can make them for lower prices. You want to fly into Newark Airport in NJ. You also have the option of flying into other airports around the area.

Those are some sites for buying plane tickets. Keep in mind that Melee and All Brawl are only on Friday.

Next is the hotel situation. The hotel closest to the venue is the Hyatt. Mind you it is pretty expensive per night, but try to split it up between people. There are also other hotels in the area if you want to check that out. I personally havn't booked a hotel room.

Remember to check daily on flights just in case. $250 and down is the great price range that you want. You gotta get those at the right time tho.

Well, with the deal that Zhu posted from southwest airlines, a roundtrip flight = $95. However, this deal ends on the 20th and it's currently the 19th.

Is most of TX prepared to pay for their ticket in the next 24 hours?
Otherwise it's back to the $259 range again lol.

Not sure how New Jersey's transportation works, haven't read up on it yet.

The main issue will be someone booking a room.
Is anybody willing to do that, and everyone pays their share to him in cash at the hotel?

The deal that Southwest is advertising is only one way, meaning you paying that price twice lol.

Expedia currently is at $220 to fly from SA (roundtrip).
I'm using the dates 1/5-1/9 (thursday-tuesday; I wanna be there first day to watch melee lol)
