Ya it may have been lucky I'll admit it. But guess what. In my first brawl I got a plus 9 on kills. It was awesome. And no one can take it away :) I may never do it again but I dont care. It was memorable and funny. Everyone was laughing and screaming. So if anything, thank you Kash for allowing it to happen :D

Maybe one of these mondays I can go down to your place and play for a bit lol. I hope tonight was fun :)

Sorry i could not go kash, I really did too, I mean its Brawl, but it was way to far to travel, it sucks living in Los Lunas. I guess all i can do is wait till the game comes out, only 4 weeks lift.

It was, but I still feel like everyone's always against me.

You play Olimar, what do you expect? But seriously, your Olimar is, at the moment, unbeatable around here. Know one can figure out a strategy around it. BTW, thanks for hosting a brawl party a second week in a row and letting me come over to play it again. Rest assured, I won't forget it.

I agree with that statement

I also can't help but feel a little bit hated around here. I blame Lucas :p

Man don't feel that way. You own Brawl!!! And lets not forget you OWN at Brawl!!! Right now its no question that you are number one in state. No questioning it at all. And you are even allowing us to play it.

there was no reason to quote you here but I felt like doing it anyways :p

It was, but I still feel like everyone's always against me.
Yeah what they said Kash :p
And as I said Saturday lol: "I got your back."

This should jog your memory:
"Woah kash my beef isn't with you"
"Huh?
"Im just checking taunts on this side of the bridge"

So while you and I taunted nonstop they fought each other :p

Not a bad Idea. I read somewhere that when someones trying to recover you can throw links boomerang the opposite direction and jump over it on its way back. This in turn hits your opponent and sends them out of recovery range (if that makes any sense lol).

Care to test that out for me Kash. Just throw the boomerang the opposite way and jump it. Maybe that trick alone can defeat your Broken Olimar :p

I do. I've just had a lot of my mind lately/been busy/been around the Wolf board

Yeah what they said Kash :p

Haha, true. That was pretty awesome.

I don't think I'll try it because I know it'll work. The Gale Boomerang pushes and pulls people. If the boomerang doesn't hit them, but passes over them, it will push them from the stage. Likewise, in teams, you could throw your boomerang toward the person to help pull them back to the stage.

And when Olimar is off the edge you want to edge hog. Really his recovery is the worst thing about him. He still has ways around it, though.

Not a bad idea Kyle. but be wary of underjudging Neil. He's a quick learner.
If he didn't put himself down so much, he might even be better.

I'll agree with that one. With his tech skill he could have been best in state with his falco (melee people). He even had pretty decent mindgames come the end there. BUT Neil you always think you're worse than you really are. Brawl is a clean slate, lift yourselves up guys.

It seems like everyone has a new resolution for when they start playing Brawl competitively. Some of us want to John less and focus on improving. Most of us want to become pro or the best in the world with said character. Neil, yours needs to be to stop putting yourself down (and to give other characters a try lol, but lets just focus on one at a time lol).

So heres a question for all of you: What specifically is the one resolution you have?

Agreed with Neil. He could be so much better. But he tries so I have high expectations from him.

My resolution would be to compete in more national tournaments and become awesome with Sonic

Hmmm, its seem like olmar may be a good fighter cuz he don't do it, the picmen do, so all you got to do is throw them and try to land it on them and just stay back and let them do there work, and sorry about the spelling, and what Lv do you got to be to be a Smash Apprentice, it feels like I been a smash child for to long lol.

Well, my goal for Brawl is to become really well known and possibly one of the best in the nation. I got over making johns a long time ago. Besides, my name is really only known within the southwest region. I want people from around the country to hear my name and know who I am. Since I only entered the smash scene a couple years ago I haven't had much oppurtunity to do that. But now, since Brawl is a clean slate, I have chance to become a pro.

I too have the same resolution Paul. I only joined the scene last summer and was only known by CO and NM. So I'm hoping that when people play online and lose to a good Link their first thoughts are "I bet that was Twin_A! He is too good." Even if it wasn't me I just want to be a known and in some senses feared player. Even if its not with Link.

Ya I like those resolutions. but you all must also understand that there are thousands of people saying that all across the country. So the competition is going to be fierce :D

True, but the main difference between myself and them is I'm actually good...jk...but seriously. Anyways, I realize that everyone across the country is making those vows. I've always considered playstyle to be much different than others. In other words, I plan my approaches/strategies in a much different manner than most smashers. Watch any of my matches and you'll see some very obscure mindgames that most people wouldn't notice.

My goal in Brawl is to become to Wolf as Ken is to Marth. If I say, "Who's the first player who comes to mind when I say Marth?" Chances are, you're going to say Ken. I want to be the same, but with Wolf. I want people to look up to me, I want to develop Wolf's metagame, and improve.

Perphaps I could describe my feelings better through song.....

I wanna be, the very best, like no one ever was!
To beat them, is my real test. To 3 stock is my cause!
I will travel across the land, searching far and wide.
Each Smasher to understand, the power that's inside!

...Ok then...

My goals are probably the same as with Paul and the Twins. Except the glory's not just for me, it's gotta be for the whole state of NM. The biggest reason however, is to achieve personal goals that I don't want to explain, nor can I very easily.

Just don't get too cocky there Paul, or you'll start doing things that I did, and being a jerk sometimes or making STUPID Johns. You're not bragging or being cocky just yet, but it's bordering the line, so be careful. Obviously you approach and strategize differently than many others, that's why you're good. You don't need to say that part.

Yea, that's a very good goal David and Steven. I like that too. Make sure you keep your life in order, don't make it center around a video game. It can be very important to you, but keep it in balance, ya know?

Good conviction David, heck yes we'll put NM on the map!! It'll be the top place to go for tourneys.

I'm not really getting that cocky; the truth is, I don't expect my skill level with Brawl, compared with the rest of the nation, to be anywhere beyond what it was in Melee. The fact is, my more creative approach to smash usually results in my death. I try to come up with new tricks and techniques every time I play but they normally never work.

But sometimes you find those tricks that do work out well. Then look what happens. We have a new game just so we can experiment more. Lets have some fun with it :D
