Yes... Sorry for not signing up for doubles, I was literally broke though xD.

Fun games overall, Edmonton is a lot better, which is what we expected ^.^. I'm satisfied that I did manage to win some games.

Fun games Kuraudo, I have never played a Sonic before, it was quite fun and next time ;).

Another interesting thing I noticed, was my Fox which was some random character I just picked up did a lot better then my Mk and Snake did, everyone knew the matchup for snake and mk so dang well!. Or maybe people just decided to sandbag against my Fox >.<.

Anyhow pretty fun day overall, srsly, on the bus ride to the University, we were like... Hmmm what would happen if no random casuals showed up XD. Pretty motivated to get better, and I totally wanted to do a crew battle... Even though calgary had like 5-6 people there XD.

nah i've been thinking about this for the past two months or so. i'm interested mainly in chemical engineering because i find chemistry really interesting, plus my ochem can probably go towards it (unless that's only for biomed engg).
you only take 1 ochem course lol. then after that you don't really do ochem at all.

chemE is basically applied chemistry/physics in math based courses lol.

we don't really go in-depth into chemistry stuff too much.

mainly math stuff.

LOL

Don't hype **** up that people aren't going to follow up on.
We never hyped anything that wasn't melee, just sayin' not once.

I dunno what to say Arthur. I went from 5:40AM on Friday morning to 12am Tuesday Morning with no sleep for a 15 man tourney. I am disappoint son.

EDIT: But gg's everyone.

just blame arthur for empty hyping, or whoever for poor organization skills for getting calgary people to go.

To be fair, there was around 30 people for Brawl at the last tournament. However, the last tournament was on a friday and after class so it was convenient for the non-competitive people to show up. Not to mention it was all three events at once, so like just under 1/3 who entered for Brawl were Melee people. BUT by FAR the biggest omission was there was no advertising.....not one poster.

Melee looks to be better though....

It was nice to meet new people, and get my *** handed to me at Brawl. Hopefully next time, Calgary will get an actual Brawl community and prove to be more of a challenge. I guess it's our turn to go up to Edmonton now. =P

Also, sorry the tournament turned out so poorly, I think the lack of advertisement and the fact the website was updated the week of the tournament really killed attendance; the fact that the last tournament was postponed like 10 times probably contributed to a better attendance, because people actually knew about it. Hopefully the Melee tournament is going better.

Does anyone have any tips about practicing tech skill without actually playing the game?

That's the thing, though. As far as I could see aany and all hype was for Melee day. Which is today.

Calgary has practically 0 brawl players. Almost none as far as I can tell. The smash scene in Calgary is almost entirely relegated to Melee.

Unless Melee was also a flop. I'm not there though so I can't tell.

3rd victor
4th allan

5th paul

that's all i remember. both paul was knocked out by jack and luke. luke took a game off dan, 3-stock, in grand finals. victor knocked luke into losers. jack vs paul was sooo hype.

15 people for Melee, eh?

Least the competition sounds like it was tough. Too bad Melee doesn't have an Intense Boss Battle mode like Brawl does.

Best way to end a tourney ever.

Now I don't feel so bad that I got destroyed by victor at allan's house. Victor did better than Paul? The apprentice has become the master?
