i believe im at my best with a character for a while when first pick him up cuz he's just so fresh at the time and fun to play wth.
until i get to a certain level that is, then id obviously be better after playing with him for a while.
i think there is 2 dry spots that you reach with a charcter.
1 is after you have been mainin him for a bi and he starts to get old and you avent exactly figuered hi out yet and you ar like "wtf hy am i using this guy, i have no clue how o se him and hes not fun anymore"
2 is after you have mastered the character and you just feel that hre is no more room to improve and the only thing you can get is worse.
if this doesnt make sense....
its because i got laid last night.

I think I main snake? I don't really know, I only ever play him in tournament matches. Then again I ONLY play Snake in tournament matches XD Or at least I only win tourney matches as Snake (or Falcon and maybe Ganon ololz)

I have a craving to go all falcon next tournament. Maybe. We'll see, lately my falcon has been **** Jeff's is pretty good though (sort of) D:

Yeah pretty much, the dynamics of offline tournaments are much more different than people give them credit for, especially if you play in online tourneys. People tend to do bad as their online main, then after messing around with other characters find they have a lot of fun with ___________ and the rest is history.

Also DanGR - I think you should pick (in order of which I think you should pick most)
1) Diddy
2) Olimar
3) Snake
#?) Luigi?

Diddy has a bizarre playstyle that requires the player to do strange things. So does Olimar. I dunno, then again Olimar has some ridiculous kill moves whereas Diddy has...d-smash.

I like your Olimar, I don't think you should flat out drop him but it's your call

Snake is a character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Go Weegee! I dunno, the only good Luigi I've seen is Boss, and Boss is freaking ridiculous no matter who he's playing as.

lol I fail at Ike dittos, but I want mirror matches if you're going to the upcoming Gamebox event.

Yea it goes like this.
He beats me with his meta while I am Ike, so he starts to brag.
Auro: "You know, bragging that you beat an Ike is dumb, especially having that you're only beating me by one stock"

Mo:" So it doesn't matter, I read you like a book"

Exactly, and not to mention that besides in doubles, it was the only time I've seen Will_ pull out meta in the singles. :x He went all Ness and used DK like once in pools, and well after the match with Mo he went back to meta and took home the money, while V3GA(Mo) lost to Moogle and George.

The low tier tourny was a major fluke, I should've placed way furthur than I did, but I managed to screw it. It's not going to happen like that next time, I'm not even going to be humble about it. Next Low Tier Tourny I'm taking at least top 5, write it down if you want.

Wow, so many posts to respond to. Sorry, this will be sorta long. Oh, and I'm thinking about Jiggs too. She's fun. I think I used her in the low tier tourney some.

DanGR, I would suggest Diddy, since Diddy is a great way to beat up on Will's MK.

Luigi just doesn't seem to have any potential in brawl for greatness. Like he is a very solid mediocre character but he doesn't do anything that makes him stand out.

And snake is just stupid nobody likes a snake main.

I disagree about Luigi. When you can combo like Luigi can, and can kill below 90% on the entire cast, I think you've got some promise. He can use any two aerials in a short hop and they come out super fast as well. His nair is straight up stupid, coming out in 1 frame and starts combos really easily. The only problem I have with him is his range, his horrible horizontal aerial mobility which limits his juggling options, and the sorry recovery. If he had those improvements, he'd easily be high tier IMO.

And what's wrong with Snake mains?

anyway DanGR i dont believe I'm helping you. so here is a guide.

Pick Snake if you want to play with the best character.
Pick Diddy if you want to play with a character that's pretty much as good but doesn't carry a social stigma for playing him (yet)
Pick Luigi if you want to play with a character who's almost as good, but will get you the most props for winning with him because ppl think he's bad

I don't really care about how good the character is. That's why I chose Olimar when he was considered one of the worst in Brawl. I liked the Pikmin series and I'm totally getting the new one that's coming out for the Wii. I just want to use a character I like that suits my playstyle well.

I feel like my fingers are broken when I pay online. I can't time the whistle correctly or buffer my movements at all. I lost to this Samus user ( 75-25 matchup for Olimar) and I called it quits after that. lol.

Diddy the character is cool, but I feel like a robot using him. I don't really have to think much. I just throw a bunch of nanerz where I think my opponent willl be, pick them up, and start over until there's no more bananas near me and then that's when I hit you away or somethin and pull out more. He also doesn't kill well, which bugs me since Olimar kills very well, but w/e.

I saw the Marth video against the three toon links as well as the Captain Falcon double knee vid. haha. I'll have to watch this one.

Reflex I think you're mostly humble, in that you're down to earth and not you don't seem arrogant in just about any situation. I might be biased though, but seriously you could be way way worse.

Winnar next time we're in a tourny I want to Sonic vs Falcon whether theres a low tier section or not. That's one of my more favorite fights, I was looking forward to it last time along with a great Mario match.

He's saying that because he's got no idea how to fight Olimar lol. I've used Olimar like 5 times ever in this game, and 4 of them where against Slam, including the first time. We were just recently talking about how one of his main priorities right now should be to learn how to fight Olimar. I beat him by using Fsmash literally five dozen times in a row nonstop in the middle of the stage at Yoshi's.

I might be one of those guys who goes to brawl tourneys and brings melee, except instead I'd go to the melee tourney and bring brawl LOL.

dont take Wi-Fi seriously, especially with your Ike
its not as easy to gimp/edge hog online which is good for Ike
its harder to perfectly time things, such as spot dodges and shields or grabs and whatnot, this is very good for Ike

play Wi-Fi but understand you need to play a bit different offline, get experience offline and be ready for it
