hey guys! back again hahah, im in cali once again! just taking care of some family stuff, but yeah im gonna try to hit up some more tournaments! oh and espy, about the west coast thing, its kinda getting old, we all know i only play in the west coast because i can't afford to go anywhere else, my family is so poor. I won't go into detail or anything but we can even afford a tv. anyways i promise its not because they don't know how to play sonic, because there are a lot of sonics all over the west coast.

but i promise im gonna try my hardest to go east.
then ill try to show people that its not only the match up experience.

anyways I hope you guys like that i have been placing in tournaments, im doing it for you guys!!!!!


oh, and im gonna go to vegas this weekend also. WOOOOHOOOOOO well thats the update, Ily guys!!!

X, I know it's tough to travel, but think you could see what you can do about WHOBO 2? I've got a score to settle from those age-old WiFi fights.

Every one should go to that one. There's a lot of time, and we'd all get a chance to chill together. A storm of Sonics just placing all over the rankings at a big tourney like that.

Espy, X, Kuraudo, ShadoFiend, BionicSonic, K.I.D. (and his smexy Lucario, lol), Speed (DO IT FGT. if you wanna see them emeralds), Kinzer, Tails, *** it, just every Sonic player.

Man, it'd be so hype.

Okay, so in March there's gonna be a tourney here called Alberta Beatdown. Gonna be awesome, and Luigi's Mansion is a CP stage.

Timing out the match and getting free jab locks ftw. Expect super high placings. LOL

Just got back from tourney in Toronto. About 55 entrants for Brawl Singles, I'll post again here when the bracket is up. I didn't do very well in brackets but I did well for me so that's something

i1337 was there but I didn't actually meet him wth!!

I had a fantastic (easy) pool. 7 ppl including me, I won every set except one (got 2-0'd by the guy who took 3rd, tho both matches were last stock very high %s, his falco then his snake).

In pools a Peach took me to Jungle Japes and I brought the match it to time, it was great we were at last stocks, I was at 147% and he was at around 170

Also vs. that same peach, we were on Yoshi's (it was the starter we played on). A bunch of ppl watching. She pulls out a bob-omb, I start charging an iSDR, she of course chucks it at me, I iSDR right throw it into an SDR combo, everyone starts yelling "oh my god how did sonic do that" thinking spindash has amazing priority lolllllll I luv it when ppl don't understand our character

In pools of 7 or 8 ppl, top 4 advanced from each into a 32-man bracket. I was 2nd-seed in my pool, so I went on to brackets. First match was vs. an MK, I 2-0'd him, it was fun

Then came Ray Kalm's ganondorf, which wrecked me 2-0
I expect KID to be thoroughly pissed at me for that lol

Sadly, losing that match brought me to fight Buenob, a ROB main (best in Ottawa) who I've played a whole bunch, and he consistently beats me hard. This time it was actually a good fight though, I counterpicked him to Distant Planet which was total lolz but still lost that match. saaaaad

I also lost some moneymatches: $2 to a different ROB, and $5 to a MK who got 2nd (I took him to Japes lol, the match was loooong and veeeery even the whole way).

Right now my tourneys are,

• Rock, Paper, Scissors (Brawl Monthlies in Edmonton)
• Alberta Beatdown (basically WHOBO 2 just smaller with lots of fighting games including Brawl being run by us)
• TourneyPlay 4 (depends on if I feel like making that long of a drive to Washington)
• /insert monthlies here of Rock, Paper, Scissors
• WHOBO 2

you should totally go to washington, I want you to play praxis against since he seems to think sonic is bottom tier lol.

infzy, losing to ganon is a 100% tell-tale sign that you dont know how to camp. EVERY CHARACTER IN THE GAME, beats ganon when they camp. I dont know how you can time out a peach but lose to a ganon. I think you should just take every character than sonic needs to camp to jungle japes. cus that seems to be the only stage that brings out your latent ability to camp. you gotta expand that feeling to all your other stages.

but anyway, thats what you get, you got a ***** pool so you get bracket *****.

but it looks like your improving, because the infzy i remember wouldnt have gotten out of pools.

what were the names of the top 4?
who in canada plays falco/snake?
was TO joe there?

re: camping..... see that's the problem.... we stagestruck to FD first match, I started camping at first but I slipped a controller input and he got ahead in % right off the bat, then I was like **** and started trying to approach. I shouldn't even be approaching when I'm down a stock in this matchup, shoulda just waited around and been annoying, like with spring and stuff.

So, i got 5th out of 55!!
at World 2-3

we nearly beat dsf and tyrant in teams, they were SHI**ing themselfs!! Me and my partner comandor beef 2-0ed everyone! till we got to dsf and ty, we took them to the last match of 3 out of 5. our name was hedgehog beef we got third.

then came low tier doubles, they let sonic in so WOOO HOOO!! me and tyrant took 1st )))
our team name was the king of hearts(tyrant) and Neo mexico(me haha)


i also won over 15 money matches!!! never lost a single one! whats even greater is that i beat 2 sonics, got 2 bucks from one, and 3 from the other.

Still trying my hardest to start placing in socal!!!
It was pretty funny because i didn't plan to go to this tournament, my brother just decided we needed to go to cali to take care of some things, then i check and im like woah, a tournament tomorrow! so I went haha! :D i should be back in utah next week.

Because the idea the WC doesnt know how to fight sonic is so funny and has been around for so long that its basically stuck.

We dont really believe it any more, and we know youre good, but its just too funny to stop saying, especially when the guys from you region get so easily trolled by it.

So no matter what you do, were always going to call matchup johns.

If he devoted all this time into a higher tier for all the hard work he's put into getting Sonic's name out there and placing high, he'd probably be taking quite a few 1st/2nd place wins way more often at big tourneys in the NorCal and SoCal scenes, if not anywhere else he goes.

As far as I can tell, and this is without bias,

1. X
2. Espy
3 Everyone else gets mixed around here and there (MalcolmM could still do well? idk? Wario's awesome)

Espy wrecks in Texas, and Texas is one of the toughest Smash states in America, if I recall correctly. Meanwhile, X's high placings and wins are not something to be overlooked.

Don't let it go to your head. Just of a personal opinion that you're the best Sonic currently, X. Don't stop that momentum. Slow down one second, and we'll catch up.

Btw, if we ever see one another, $10 MM? Dunno how many times I've said this, but, I gots a score to settle. LOL
