the funny thing is i don't care if he does. because there will be one of two results:

1. he's roughly my size and i'm in a mood to fight (which i normally am). we'll fight, my psychotic and sadomasochistic tendencies will unleash, and there will be a winner.

2. he's much bigger than me / a much better fighter than me, in which case i'll let him beat me up as much as possible just so i can sue him and send him off to jail.

i win either way.

I think P just called out like ALL of San Pablo.

So, you called out Shroomed, who no one cares about, but hes a decent Doc. He also represents like EVERY black stereotype.

Then you called out The___Cheese, who is THE BEST PLAYER EVER!!!!! (not really). You're calling out the man that almost beat lunin on jungle japes with BOWSER. The man who falcon punched both SS AND Zhu in a teams match. The man the beat Myko with NESS. And the man that only gets 2 stocked by Zhu with his LINK.

Oh, and then theres Alan......oh gosh Alan.

Alan is the coolest, *****iest, sexiest Peach/shiek double mainer in Norcal. He acts REALLY gay, and he plays REALLY gay. Hes black, his favorite color is green, and dont be mad if he starts hitting on you in the middle of a match. He did that to Zhu once.

So if you happen to see a big headed black guy, an Amish looking white guy 4 stocking people with Roy, and a really, REALLY gay acting black, you'll know who to money match. (Dont worry T___C, i'll sponsor you)

P.S. Alan happens to be me. Go figure.

honestly, the only reason most people don't get along with me is because they think they're special. because i quote you or challenge you or say you suck at the game doesn't mean i care about you more than person XYZ, but people take it personally because, again, they think they're special. which just pushes me to take it farther, and farther, and farther, because i never know when to give up.

The same thing could be said about you. You think you're better than person XYZ, and therefore you feel its your god given right to belittle them. Now, I dont know you personally, so I cant say you belittle people IRL, but its clear you do it when you're not all up in some black guys face.

Saying someone sucks doesnt make them feel special, it makes you look like a egotistic douche. Gauging someones skill without seeing them play, or better yet, judging a book by its cover is makes it seem like you're trying to make YOURSELF feel special.

Do you need to feel special P? Because I know just the touch....I mean trick.

see what happens? i bring you down into my level, which, however you want to judge it, means you've already lost.

honestly i'm just bored right now and smash boards helps me feed into my compulsive ADD. i'm procrastinating from working out right now. i don't really have anything to prove about myself as a person. the only thing i'm out to prove is that i'm good at super smash bros melee. as long as people know that, i don't care whether they view me as the worst person in the world. that competitive drive is the only reason i play. anything else is whatever.

You could say you've brought me down to your level, or I could say I brought you up to mine. As you said, its how I want to judge it. A war of words, if you will.

Of course, im going to keep playing this little game as im a very argumentative person. Not to mention, your lethargy means you'll stay around a bit.

Assumptions, assumptions. Actually, I think I'm better at you and most of norcal and most people -- as it pertains to this game. I can't bother to give two ****s about anything else; the rest of any other "judging" I do is just to push buttons to entertain myself, mainly because I can't resist an easy target. For what it's worth, I do the same thing with females, because, again, they're easy targets.

Saying someone sucks doesnt make them feel special, it makes you look like a egotistic douche.
If I cared how I was coming across, don't you think I would, um, maybe not do it?

I'm not "gauging" your guys' skill, at least not specifically. I'm not ranking it on a scale. It's a simple yes or no in my mind: am I better than you? Yes. So I will say as much because I'm a very truthful person. It's just a matter of fact thing, and if people disagree, I implore them to money match me because I also like making money!

I forget where, Shroomed posted something about the Doc rankings.

1) Bob$
2) foxroar
3) Brandon
4) Shroomed

Brandon will move up once he takes some sets from Baysians.

random comment: I love the air mobility everyone has in Brawl.

I dont know if your definition of assumption is quite on point. What I said was simple a play on words.

Of course I should also point out a tad bit of hypocrisy with your post. For someone who likes to clearly point out assumptions and generalizations, you make quite a few of your own.

Now, you can go ahead and continue to think you're better than me, and i'll say you are. (Am I being modest or sarcastic?). Im not super, ultra, gregariously competitive like most smashers. If I wanted to prove I was better than everyone I'd be an overly technical animal player. But I play peach, and mainly because shes undervalued. No one sees past the downsmash, and thats how I like it.

But do go on, this is enjoyable.

it's the culture. it's about the lowest common denominator. it's easy to slip and accord your behavior with the culture of that lowest common denominator, and if 90% of the people on SWF don't deserve me being nice, then i'm not gonna be nice. but insert a different forum -- say, two plus two -- where most people are intelligent and you can learn something, then i'm going to fit in and regulate myself.

social status is a very powerful thing, and i'm not immune to it either.

Sorry Chris, I don't allow separation between somebody's internet personalities and his/her real life personalities.

It's stupid, and no one should allow it.

I don't think play on words means what you think it means.

well, not to be rude, but duh. i'm human, so i'm going to generalize, because it is convenient to do so and that is how the brain works. (ever heard of heuristics?) but if my generalizations are 90% accurate and yours are only 70%, do you see why i'm going to be condescending and point out yours?

Now, you can go ahead and continue to think you're better than me, and i'll say you are. (Am I being modest or sarcastic?). Im not super, ultra, gregariously competitive like most smashers.
I really wish most smashers WERE super competitive. They're not, at least not in so cal. That's why I prefer East Coast.

shows how limited your perspective is that you can't see how ridiculously different online and real life are.

that's as silly as saying something like, "I don't allow separation between somebody's social and personal personalities and their work personalities." It's why the whole stereotype of the black guy playing the white man's game when they're at work exists -- because it's a reality of life. Deal with it.

This would work if SWF wasnt an informative forum.

How well do you think someone will take knowledge if the person giving them the knowledge, beat it into them, literally. You cant expect SWF to be a forum for learning when the people teaching belittle those who they're teaching to.

sorry, everyone involved in this "argument" looks like an idiot

i wouldn't bother continuing with it hoping to "win" because really, the more you post, the more you are losing

that's just it: i'm not expecting it to be a forum of learning. did you miss that?

on the character specific forums, maybe i am. which is why i would make it a point to help people, because i would expect other people to do that for me. (and i say this from experience back when i used to post in the sheik forums and try to help, although that doesn't mean i still wasn't an *** at times)

that's funny, from my perspective this isn't an argument, and there is no winner or loser.

and again, i just can't help but chuckle to myself when people are like, "omg you look like such an idiot." it once again implies that they're special -- that i SHOULD care that i am looking like an idiot to you. well this just in: i don't.

Is the black man playing the white mans game, or is he playing his own game that is being labled as a white mans?

It'll always be called the white mans game, even though black people have made their way into, because of the American mentality. That doesnt mean you're force to separate your personal life and your work life.

Does a drug dealer separate his social life with his work life? No, its the primary reason hes so successful, simple because hes using personal contacts to further his work and experience.

I'd have to agree with P here. Its not that I detest him, its that I dont agree with all of his points.

This isnt an argument as much as it is a game to keep two (or more) people entertained.

it's called the white man's game because of social status, and they have it and we don't. they're the bosses because they have it, and we're trying to get it, and the only way we get it is by assimilating into their culture because people love it when other people are like them.

finally someone understands. that's how it ALWAYS is, and that's why i have so many posts here: because it's a game that can keep me consistently entertained. kind of like *drumroll* smash!

But what happens when black people start to dominate over white areas, its STILL considered a white area of control because it was founded by them.

Lets look at Oprah, Montel, and Tyra, 3 of the most watched talk shows all started by black people, yet the talk show business will still remain a white area because of its founder.

It's not directly a race thing -- the race is just used to easily classify things.

Why are those shows popular? Because they pander to white people. It doesn't matter if the dude speaking it is black if everything he's standing for is white. I would gladly support the whitest, most southern mofo in the United States if he was bringing about positive change for the lower class people (i.e. mexicans and blacks -- me).

And since it's still the very same white people empowering those black people, the control is still in the former's hands. Has nothing to do with the direct race of the people hosting the talk shows.

Catering to one social group doesnt necessarily make you that social group. Or, I should say, that is my thinking. Im a minority who group up fairly well off, and i've never really live in poverty my entire life.

But I digress. Even though Tyra may seem like her topics are primarily white topics (which I feel they arent) that still doesnt change the fact that her show will continue to labeled as a black show.

Same thing is certain in World of Warcraft. WoW is a primarily PvE game, yet it caters significantly to PvPers. Yet it is still referred to as a primarily PvE game, because it hold emphasis on teamwork.
