You realize this makes no sense right? This is like saying that our dollar is stronger than your cent, so we are better. The value is all relative.

Or I can just point out that this argument would make England the best place, which is obviously an absurd conclusion.

(or replace England and best with Japan and worst for you weeaboos)
American has traditionally had a dollar value of $1 to our $0.70 or so, which is mildly amusing, but no, it doesn't mean anything. It was primarily a joke.

The first part of my post holds true though.

64 players think they are smart. =p

So funny.
This is such an amazing troll.

1. You say "64 players", differentiating yourself from us. The implied condescension is used to cast yourself in a negative light.
2. You're "subtly" defending Brawl. Australian Brawl.
3. Implied insults to our intelligence.

Backroom Members have been inducted!.

Thank you all for your submissions. This time, the voting was particularly harsh, and I feel more of the members who applied could easily have made it in with a little more meaningful forum contribution. Without further ado, let me present the new backroom members!

All four have shown a willingness to participate and contribute through the application process, as well as general forum activity.

Before any complaints get raised, all inductees pledged to be active in the backroom and offered plenty to convince us of their potential. Cases such as Fireblaster and some of the Europeans are precedent: they have contributed quite reasonably, despite low posting activity in the main forums. Please note that any complaints or flaming of this kind may lead to penalties.

Am I allowed to post how much say the non-leaders had in these decisions? I kind of want to.

Ok, I'll humor you, although I don't understand why, seeing as how you said, "As do I".

I guess I'll have to be downright ruthless in my posts toward Australians now. Don't infract me, mods, infract asianaussie :troll:

Congratulations! Just out of curiosity is it possible to know who are the Euros who applied? If for a reason of privacy you don't want to say, I'm fine with it.

Is the backroom useful finally? What are they doing? So far, in my opinon, those chilean gameshark guys did far more than the entire backroom will ever do (regardless of the members), but maybe im wrong.

By this date they have done very little in public, but I guess they've done allot in the backroom and soon anounce allot of stuff.

What are your odds of making it in round 3 if you don't know anything about 64 but know a hella bunch about online smash (like maybe from modding Online Tournament Listings for two years, only an example)

Online brawl is really different from online smash 64. They are separate as smash 64 online actually works well. The delay in online brawl is much worse and the lag is much more apparent so unlike the n64 online, brawl online is considered to be so separate of a game, it is barely discussed together. If you were one of the people who helped develop the online n64 smash, then it would be different.

The main reason why you need to know more about n64 to get into here is due to the discussions being done in there. We need people who know explanations for the proper stage listings/rule set and to be able to know concrete evidence for their opinions. (For example, would I get into the brawl backroom if I wondered why MK is the best character in brawl, I would personally say no.) It isn't a wifi backroom anyway so a majority of online smash knowledge doesn't affect as much (asides from learning to be a better player/learning matchups due to playing on smash 64 online).

You apply once the applications are opened every year or half-year, depending on what I feel like doing.

If you don't post here regularly (ie once or twice a week at the least) or have considerable 64 credentials, you should consider whether you should bother writing up an application.
