If you're wondering about compatibility then don't worry. The DS has no region lock on it meaning it can play games from anywhere. It doesn't matter if the DS is American and the game is Japanese. They work fine with each other.

He's right. I imported Mother 1+2 (EarthBound in the US) and it works fine.

I know the DS is region free, I'm asking has anyone ehard anything about wether the Hidden base system in DP is any good.

And as far as I know, even the governments don't have any program that will translate voice to another language. Why would a small videogame have this ability?

Does anyone know if the "Gotcha!" Cheat actually works or not?

Supposedly, you yell "Gotcha!" into the mic -as soon- as your pokeball hits the desired pokemon and your chances of catching it doubles. I've tried a bunch of times, and I've only seem believable results once. I was wondering if someone has better luck with this, or if I'm just being lied to and this is a false cheat.

Well.. i never tried it but i like to "lock the ball"

throw the ball you want to use... rapidly press A and B... ABABABABABA until it hits the ground without bouncing. Then hold A + B and it should be caught.

that works better than catching it normally for me. and if you are battling say a giratina, then what i did was:

throw ball and let it do whatever
after 15-20 times, i did the "lock the ball" trick and it worked.. or vise versa..

those work for my DYCE

Ok, and I would do that too actually. But for this one, I had a better feeling of reasurrance that tapping the screen would make things easier to catch.

the trick i use is.

you press a when the ball closes on the pokemon,then press a each time on the shake.that helps me

The tricks don't work with catching the Pokemon...it just makes the person feel better though I don't know why anyone would yell into a mic to catch a Pokemon.

I always press the down button on the control pad, it helps me, but not all the time. It kinda gives me a feeling that I can determine whether the pokemon will be caught or not.

Lol, it's interesting what people come up with. I'm sure I've used most of these tactics. But yea, I don't think that any of these strategies work. Gives you false assurance though, which helps a little I guess.
