MkLeo 3-0 Lima . The Bayo slayer takes yet another victory to move on in winners. Have to admit though, I would love to see Komorikiri take his first major.

Samsora 3-1 WaDi in a set full of counterpicks. Samaora interestingly shows he can play top tier blonde females very well. He advances in winners.

ANTi 3-1 Fatality to make it to top 24 tomorrow! At this point, he has earned it, but this has been a lackluster showing from Fatality in quite a while.

Now I wish Ally had not been eliminated earlier. He does pretty well against WaDi, and he probably would have lasted, but who knows? Mistake, Strike, Captain L, Locus and Blacktwins keep Canada's hopes and dreams alive, and hey, Locus is doing really well right now!

I am going to predict who win each set.
MKLeo vs Zinoto: Normally I would say that Leo wins this, but Zinoto has defeated Leo at their last encounter at Midwest Mayhem. It is anybody's guess.
Tweek vs Mistake: Tweek is so proficient at the Bayo matchup, so I would say that he would take this.
Nairo vs Larry Lurr: Extremely volatile. However, the way Larry has been playing recently, I would put my money on Nairo for this one.
komorikiri vs Samsora: I really don't see how Samsora is going to win this one tbh. Both Peach and Rosalina have an uncomfortable matchup against Cloud, and versus one of the best Clouds in the business...
WaDi vs SDX: I have no idea how Mewtwo dittos go. I would have to go with WaDi due to simply being the all-around superior player.
Captain L vs NAKAT: I don't really see how Captain L is going to take this one. Unlike BestNess, NAKAT has a Puff himself so he isn't going to be affected by matchup inexperience as much.
Glutonny vs DSS: Don't know. Anybody's guess.
Dabuzvs Strike: Unless Strike does crazy stuff, Dabuz is going to win this.
Elegant vs Blacktwins: Hard to say. Normally I would way Elegant due to being an all-around superior player, but the Cloud vs Luigi matchup though.
Lima vs ANTi: Don't exactly know, but I think I am going to put my money on ANTi for this one.
ESAM vs falln: Another volatile matchup. Honestly have no clue who will take this one.
MVD vs Locus: I personally think MVD is the favorite to win this one, but Ryu can do some shenanigans.

This is a tournament full of upsets, and 3-0s are being handed out left and right. Absolutely insane.

it's worth noting he went game 5 with Gluto, who he's played and narrowly lost to before as well, and according to chat got hit with a lock setup first stock of game 5.
Not to mention the set with anti was close as well.
also worth noting that his track record has become MUCH more consistent. The last time he got less than top 8 at a big event was Genesis 5 where he placed 17th. He's top 8'ed Frostbite, SML battle for vegas, and king of springs 3, getting top 5 at all of those.
He has 2 wins over salem, a win over dabuz, a win on larry, one on wadi, 2 over cosmos, and one on samsora.
He's practically guaranteed a top ten placing this season.

I'd say it's actually more like him being inconsistent from season to season. Did super well a year ago, dropped a bit last season, but is back on his feet this season.

ESAM vs falln: Another volatile matchup. Honestly have no clue who will take this one.

Almost positive this will go in ESAM's favor. ESAM has a decent record against Dabuz and has beaten falln the only 2 times they've played (with one being at ESAM saga in early 2016), although ESAM has had issues with Kirihara.

Lima vs ANTi: Don't exactly know, but I think I am going to put my money on ANTi for this one.

on one hand, lima 3-0'ed ally earlier
one the other, anti also has cloud and zss
experience and gut instinct says anti's winning via cloud or zss unless lima does crazy stuff

would also bet on L beating nakat, L's been ramping up his skill level a lot lately.

Larry Lurr ranges from 17th (g5) to 3rd (switchfest)
WaDi ranges from 13th (g5) to 2nd (mason vs mr e)
falln ranges from 13th at switchfest to 3rd at noods noods noods
taking into account pgr registered tournaments, fatality doesn't look that inconsistent in comparison to others.

Mistake 3-0 Elegant with one of the most anticlimactic finishes I have ever seen. He killed Elegant, then immediately spiked him about 5 seconds later to end him at 20%.

... And once Bayos learn how stupidly powerful Dair spiking is off stage we're in for a rough time. Bayo's meta has room to grow.

I told you guys: spiking is a very powerful underused tool.

NAKAT's Ness needs some warm up tho because this is an advantage MU. BestNess 3-0 Captain L and the only reason BestNess lose to Captain L is Jigg inexperience because Jigg is such a rare character. What is your anaylsis of how NAKAT's Ness could've done better?

(I know that L is pretty good at Ness/Mario MU but I just wanna know what he couldve done better?)

Didn't really saw much of the match, since I was focused on the Dabuz vs Strike slaugherfest. He has to fight SDX now, which I have no clue what he will use.

Idk man, watching L yesterday, he makes Ness's recovery look super free. L is very good at Ness & Mario MUs.
