Well yes there are guidelines... My professor said anything entertaining, and from then, he'd pick from the three for me to write about. (and he said something that would be appropriate for college, so not a topic about apples and oranges)Uh, so there's no criteria or guideline given for what you're supposed to write about? Usually schools just don't say "write a paper" and be done with it.
Very interesting. : D I will keep this in mind also. : ]I've figured out which paper topics go best for me:
Homosexuality/Same-sex marriage, research paper for a piece of music, and also protecting wildlife.
Same-sex marriage is just an incredibly simple one-sided issue that I've debated on a lot. A research paper of a piece of music (as long as you can include information on the genre and composer) is also very easy. Protecting wildlife, I realized recently that there is a ton of information on this, and why we should do it. It would make a great research paper!
I agree with the octopus tribe thing. That wouldone mistake people make in writing college papers is trying to choose a unique topic to help make your essay stand out as more creative and inventive.
But people who mark essays don't want to have to deal with all sorts of crazy theories and obscure research they are much more comfortable with the essays they have read and marked a thousand times before.
try for something safe and solid such as novelties in the earth's magnetic field due to battles between rival octopus tribes.
this will secure at least an 80% paper unless you make lots of spelling errors.
