Hmm... Set his entry to be the taunt that he pulls out his sword on (I can't remember which one that is, I never play as Ganon) and use a prop modifier hack, then edit his moves accordingly. :3

Like I asked before, there wouldn't happen to be a SFX list, would there? I want to give some of Kari's moves fire and electric effects. (I got lucky and stumbled upon water SFX somewhere, don't remember where though. ><)
waaaay too many SFXs to make a complete list

i know that SFX #69 is the charging sound though :)

Oh... Well thanks anyways. And thanks for telling me the electric SFX, at least :D
EDIT: Not the SFX I thought it was... ._.

slightly off topic, but would it be possible to apply the same technique used to change music, to instead change SFX?

Its annoying that we cant edit sub routines :(

Because somehow one of my sub routines has lost all of its codes and now the game freezes everytime I do a move which includes this sub routine -_-

Idk how the codes got lost :(

Hmm...here's a thing that's bugging me.
After i do a special attack in air (Ike's counter), when he touches the ground, it freezes. I can only move again if someone hits me. Anyone here got the same problem?
Also, is there a command to return to the idle animation? (No change subaction to 0)

How do I edit a special to go at an angle?

Do you mean how the opponent gets launched, or the direction it takes you? If it's the latter, I have no idea. Maybe it's subroutine? Or, there's probably some number that stands for a trajectory.

you can doubleclick line in the subroutine section to modify them. I also heard you can make commands in the sub action then copy that and past it in subroutines.

Yeah I can modify them with Double Click, I forgot that.

But that doesnt help me, because the lines got lost in my sub routine.

And no I cant copy from sub actions and paste them their (Already tried it).

Add / Modify / Remove / Up / Down / Paste are all not clickable.

So I dont have any clue how they could get lost <,<

If only paste would work >-<

This will be fixed in the future right ? (I hope so ._.)

Uh...If I changed the taunt animation, how do I get it to apply to both directions? Sorry if this has been asked before.

well, say down taunt has two subactions. they would be something like AppealLwL and AppealLwR (Or they might just be both called AppealLw). You just edit both of the same way.

Is it possible to use character specific elements on different characters? I know that things like dark aura and electricity can be used with any character, but would it be possible to assign Peach's hearts to Wolf's moves (just an example)?

here's a better, longer list of Graphic Effect IDs

Value / Effect
1 Generic Hit 1
2 Generic Hit 2
3 Fire Hit

list by me, just2good (lot of them found by him) and cookieMONster
(there's still more, I guess)
Im confused: The fire hit effect id is 3 on your list, yet to put a fire effect on captain falcon's uair and dair, my flags end in 5....

these are graphic effects that appear after a generic hit, not really related to the flag effect that sets someone on fire

graphic effect =/= Flags

graphic effects are in "GFX". they appear every time you do the attack, even if you don't hit anyone.
Flags are in "Main". the last 2 numbers are used for hit effects, like fire or ice, and they appear only if you hit someone.

Okay look people, when a box pops up that asks if you want to clear a subroutine, DON'T CLICK "YES." It happens whenever you, for instance, try changing the subroutine within an action/sub-action and it should be told "No" unless you really know what you're doing (as stated by the message box itself).

Oh, ok.... i was looking for a list of flags then and jumped on a list that looked promising :ohwell:

Yes you can do so, but the graphic would only appear if Peach was in the match.

Uhh... what does this mean? Cuz it doesn't look good...
That's a bug that occurs when you change one of the variable types to a value they're not supposed to be - wait a little bit and I'll release the latest build which fixes most of the known bugs including that one.

Edit: Work with me here, I'm going backwords from the most recent post...

I've been spending most of my time lately working on this... Sound effects - unlike normal files (which are loaded as a whole) and unlike music files (which are constantly loaded in multiple parts) are loaded in packages from one main file. The packages hold various "sets" of sound effects that are specific for each character... It is those packages that I need to replace when loaded.

just checked again, his sword ISN'T a prop. all you can find are (External) graphics. maybe someone can copy over every thing from main, GFX, SFX and other to a different animation (say Dtilt) and see what happens.
Ganondorf's sword is indeed a prop, it's just called by one of the undefined commands. It's listed in Other as 10030100 with a parameter as type 0(value), with a value of 1. So ganondorf's sword is id 1.

All right. I'm just wondering why it didn't show up until just now... I'm also wondering what the error actually means.
EDIT: And why it suddenly fixed itself...
EDIT2: Rather, why it went from affecting the GFX to affecting the main.

Hey Phantom, I have a question.

How would I have multiple subroutine changes in an action? I'm doing this:

I've discovered timers do not work here... In fact I think it worked better BEFORE I added them. Basically what happens is Captain Falcon does the first move, cancels out of every animation afterward, and then uses the last move (a taunt lol). Another thing that would help is learning how to keep an enemy in place during an attack, although I think that has to do with grab hitboxes.

Also a cool thing to be able to do is make your own sub-actions and subroutines. That would make this so much easier since I could make a custom combo without having to change other moves to benefit it.

I made a ness SA and when he attacks by using his side smash the game freezes. I think I somehow deleated the Sub routines needed for his side smash because i can't find them anywhere and if you use the homerun bat it still works is there anyway to fix this without redoing the entier chracter?

Yes, I've found that timers do weird things when they are placed inside Actions...

Sub-Actions are specified by the character's Module file, so until I can decompress that (very unlikely, seeing as it is entirely in assembly code) you won't be able to add and Sub-Actions.

I'll look into allowing you to add sub-routines though.

Look back in the original FitNess.pac and find the command you accidentally deleted (If, however, you accidentally deleted a named subroutine call, then you won't be able to get it back. Also, if it wasn't a name subroutine, but accidentally deleted the subroutine itself, then you won't be able to get it back either.)

Is there any way for me to get what I want working on Falcon, or is it just hopeless?

Also, what I meant by adding sub-routines is how since Falcon has a bunch of unused action slots, couldn't I just assign those an unused sub-routine if you can get that functionality working?

I seem to be having trouble opening a pac. file with the program.

When I run the program 'SmashAttacks', and hit 'file > open', I get an exception. At the bottom it says:

Method not found: "System. String
System. Windows.Forms.OpenFileDialog.get_SafeFileName()'.

This may just be a simple mistake with a simple solution, but I don't know whats wrong with it. I could have some file in the wrong directory (if there are required to be), or I could be missing a file or two.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Thank you for responding to our questions, Phantom! (And thanks for making the program in the first place!) I got a sweet-awesome guy I'm makin', finally. But I also have a question. In a future version, will we be able to create our own subroutines? Or, is there a feasible way to do so right now?

EDIT: EDIT: Never mind about my previous edit!

And forgive me for asking what is almost always asked, but I'm very curious. How's the program coming along for you so far?

Thanks for the info. If the upgrade dosn't work I should just try using it on my other PC which is running Windows Vista. (I'm shure it'll have the specifacations.)

you might have to uninstall your existing framework, but I'm not sure if you have to.
I'll check in the setup if thats the case. If it is, ill just go with plan B.

Cool you heard that from me ^^

But it doesn't actually work, you can't paste into sub routines, lol

Yeah I might have clicked suddenly on yes because I was to quick or something like that :S

But its nice that this cant happen anymore in v2 of PSA.

I'm still waiting for a paste option in sub routines then I can go on with my pikachu XD (I just need some fixes because he could spam too much and too easy thunder jolts xD)
