You know, he could help you, that is his decision and his only.

But he does not have to make up for anything, his tourney placings are his alone and he does not in any way needs to prove himself to anyone, nor does he owe any victory to the ice climbers boards. You cannot say he has to make up for something if he never had to prove to you guys anything.

since this is almost a snake vs IC discussion i will go and ask a question.

I play snake and sometime the IC run toward me and I am pretty much sure he will shield. Do I have any good option ?

if he shields, you can grab him. Neutral A, tilts. lots of stuff.
play to learn.
not play to win. . . unless you're lain because you have nothing to learn xD

i think dash atack could be fine till i do it too often.

You're Snake. You shouldn't be letting the ICs get in close anyway.

But even if they do, you still have options. Only on a powershield do the ICs have a good shot at grabbing, as your tilts should otherwise push them too far away (f-tilt less so, so that may not always work). If you grab, B-throw works wonders at separating them since it's so fast (and Popo should be thrown far enough away so Nana will instinctively run to her partner, leaving her open for a tilt or something). Grenade countering, or even dropping one at your feet beforehand, should make the IC player think twice about trying to stay in one place for too long (which automatically happens when they grab someone) If you ask me, dash attack is not a good idea - Snake's tremendous momentum will keep him close to the ICs even as they are pushed back, and you'll just get grabbed.

I've regained new hope in my DDD doing it. IC's are possible, but it's definitely better and easier that way. I can feel it, I almost have it.
