Women's Marathon in 12 hours. Looking forward to it.

Also, what an epic finish to the Women's Triathalon between Spirig (Switzerland) and Norden (Sweeden) with a photo finish. Spirig won by 5.9 inches.

Not sure which event Tennis enthusiast consider more important, but I figure winning Gold vs Federer makes up for the loss against him at Wimbledon.

Speaking of tennis, really surprised that Del Potro beat Djokovich for bronze, considering his, Nadal's, and Federer's dominance (iirc, out of the last 29 tournaments or so, 28 have gone to one of those three)

Match fixing is a gambling endeavour, they manipulated the bracket (without necessarily breaking any rules) to ensure greater glory for their country with more medals.

I dunno, I think the DQ was unjustified, I think it's just very humorous that the Chinese are so good that they'd even attempt audacious stunts like this.
Match-fixing has many motives, this being one of them. They would have screwed up the bracket for other teams, and certainly made for an embarrassing show, not only for the Olympics, but for the sport itself. I'm glad the IOC had the balls to do what they did, it completely violated the spirit of the games.

How would that have screwed up the bracket? They wouldn't have, they would merely have changed it to favour extra medals.

This team was the top seed, they were going to win anyway. The spirit of the competition is winning, and winning within the standard rules is perfectly fair.

I think the controversy should have been enough, disqualifying players because they've acted within the rules in a way that pisses people off but benefits them greatly should not be cause for disqualification. They should just add in a rule like FIFA's where sandbagging gets you seriously repromanded.

People just have a stick up their *** about China, imo.

Idk if you were joking about that part or not, but why do you think Federer is a douchebag O_o? To me he's always seemed like the very epitome of good sportsmanship and respectful behaviour.

Good **** to Murray for winning, though. He played fantastic tennis that day.

Ban China from the Olympics and this **** would be fine.
As much as I loathe what the badminton players did, the organizers are just as much at fault for not scheduling all the last round matches to the same time, despite the fact that several players had complained prior to the tournament and warned about this exact scenario. The entire farce could've been avoided easily.

Speaking of badminton, the final between Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan was ****ing awesome.

The Olympics was really great. Though I haven't watch all the events we can all say that it was really successful and now I was waiting for the Paralympics.
