I'm a Packers fan. Should be a pretty interesting season. If the Packers stay healthy and Rodgers performs even pretty well, I think Green Bay will take the division. Minnesota could be tough though.

Anyway, picks for week 1:

Giants
Lions
Bengals
Seahawks
Jets
Patriots
Buccaneers
Eagles
Steelers (even though I think the Texans have a good shot)
Jaguars
Browns
Chargers
Cardinals
Colts
Packers
Broncos

The eagles are winning the super bowl thats all anyone needs to know.
McNabb hasn't played a full season since 2003. Even if he manages to stay healthy, the Eagles aren't that great. They have Westbrook on offense...that's it. Their defense is aging, as well. No way they'll take the East. In fact, I think they're a top contender for finishing last in the division. Dallas and NY are assuredly better teams, and the Redskins are at least equal to them. I think either Wash or Philly will end up last.

As for my picks, I'm in a Pick Em league, and I didn't feel like having to edit my picks by removing or highlighting crap, so I just print screened my picks from my league. :bee:

I'm a Packers fan; I have been my whole life (what else does Wisconsin have?). There are 20 of 22 starters returning, granted one is Brett Favre who won't be returning but still. The offense is solid, with Ryan Grant and Brandon Jackson in the backfield, and Driver, Jennings, Jones, and even Jordy Nelson looking good. The defense is looking good too, with veterans Al Harris and Charles Woodson, and the good linebacking corps in Hawk, Barnett, and Poppinga. The D-Line is versatile as hell, too. They look good on paper, but we all know that doesn't mean much. I think it will be a close race in the North, between Minnesota and Green Bay. I could see Detroit making a case, but not likely. And the Bears are simply terrible. >_>;;;

Yeah, I dun see how the Eagles can win it all..
All I know is that they have McNabb, Westbrook, DeSean Jackson (the WR/KR), and Samuel..

Vikings vs Packers is gonna be interesting.

We should set up some type of friendly competition or something. If only a list of all our names and our records.

Ala:
Peeze: 1-0
XACE-K: 1-0
Mike87: 1-0
JLynn943: 1-0
ProBrawler: 1-0
Toecutter: 1-0

That's everyone who predicted the Giants to win. Diddy King left off the Was/NY game. :|

Anyway, this could just be a rough template. If anyone wanted to edit the list, and make it colored or alphabetized or anything, they could. Or if you'd rather not do any type of competition at all. It makes no difference to me, it's just an idea. :)

Sounds like a good idea to me. We'll throw shark attack in there. Since he and Diddy king missed a pick, the rest of us can pick one game not to guess on next week, (kinda like a bye pick?) to even it up.

Expect a great year from Romeo Crennel's Browns. They had some Humble pie during the preseason. That offense looks sick. Hopefully the D will come out with big ol Shaun Rogers :D

Thanks for adding me to this. It's gonna be an awsome NFL season. As for the game not to guess on don't worry about it. You all earned the correct guess and one game isn't anything compared to 256 regular season games.

One more thing my friend on here named Raider 88 will likely want to get in on this. Ironically we started something similiar so I'm sure he'd be interested. I've got his picks for this week and will add them here. I'll let him know about this to see if he wants in. I just don't want Raider 88 to miss out if he does.

Raider 88's picks:

Jags: 20
Titans: 17

KC: 10
NE: 41

NYJ: 14
Miami: 20

I checked the scores as of right now so, I'm 7-3 for my weeks picks.

I'm still laughing at Tom Brady getting hurt.

Why would you laugh at the fact that somebody was injured? Even if you dislike him, that's pretty morbid.

It makes the game more balanced.
The Patriots have like 20 Pro Bowlers. Rigged much?

Edit: Now I'm feeling a bit sorry for him becuase I was watching the preview on NBC and they said that it could end his season. It does give the backups some playing time

Well I laughed because he's so successful and a pain due to that successful-ness. Every single year it seemed the Patriots either got to the Super Bowl or the AFC Championship game.

But just like what Proud Smash Noob said, I feel sorry now because it might end his season.

Well, no doubt it makes the game more "balanced". Having a Pro Bowler go down will make any team worse. It isn't his fault he's so good, or the Patriots are so good. They're the dynasty of the 2000s, any player would love to play there, and that's why they're so great.

Well I laughed because he's so successful and a pain due to that successful-ness.
He's successful because he's so good. :ohwell: I don't really like Brady that much...he's a great player, one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game (he's got quite a few records already...), and I acknowledge that. I wouldn't laugh at any player getting hurt...regardless my thoughts on them or the team.

I'm not trying to chastise anyone, and if you do laugh, that's completely up to you. I just wanted to make sure my thoughts and reasoning are known.

Congrats Mcnabb started the season well. he always does. The question is can he finish as strongly, or better yet can he finish at all?
