This forum is near 10 Million Posts. Freaking amazing. I'll try to post a lot to get this forum to a milestone of 10 Million Posts. I hope everybody else will!

I think it's pretty wild how large of a forum we are. Sometimes I forget about how big we really are. Does anyone know if it includes the posts from social forums? If not, I'm sure we'd be well over 10 million if we included all the regional social forums.

Also, i'm pretty sure Choknator is responsible for about 40% of those posts.

The crash? That was at least 10,000 or so members. Pity most of them were Flippy nuts or people who didn't post frequently.

In the upper right hand corner of each post, there's a number indicating which post it is in the thread. Mouse over it; look at the link. There's a number in part of the link ("p=xxxxxxx"), where "xxxxxxx" is the post number.

So the link for EPsilon's post above is http://www.smashboards.com/showpost.php?p=9746176&postcount=20

That is the 9,746,176th post on this site.

edit: I guess this isn't totally reliable, because there's a discrepancy between that number and the number displayed on the homepage. That's probably because the number above includes posts made in rooms where post count doesn't count.

Also, I think that there should be a contest for whoever gets the 10 millionth post, and the winner would win a premium membership for a year or something similar. But the trick is, the admins shouldn't announce the contest until after the milestone has been passed, in order to discourage people posting random spam.
