I think the site will likely contain SOMETHING at least SLIGHTLY interesting when it updates seeing as how they are giving us a countdown to the site launch. It sort of implies that there's going to be a 'big bang' of sorts when it's ready... sort of like new years!

Also, it is unlikely that they are just adding something mundane like screens, since previously they had updated the site instantly when new screens were added, instead of giving us this mother of a countdown.

In any case, I'm excited.

One thing I've noticed is that a lot of people have constantly replied with "Not really counting on anything major, if anything at all." every time some rumor or the sort have roamed these forums. And I don't blame them, it has been an awful, awful long drought news-wise.

But I don't believe many people will be able to keep their pessimistic minds confronted with this. This is going to be big! ...I think..

Wow, this is really it this time.

What I think the new site will have? A release date is probably going to be held until E3, BUT the new site will say something like 'fall 2007'. It gives us a date, but doesn't really give us a date. Sneaky sneaky.

In terms of new stuff about the game? Expect screenshots. Lots of new screenshots, atleast 20.

I wouldn't expect any new character announcements, aside from the ones we know will already be returning. Chances are DK will be revealed from Brawl like Fox was, but since they're apparently making a big deal about this, (due to the countdown clock) we might see Brawl renditions of Yoshi, Falcon and Ness for the first time.

6 days left? Let's just say 6 is my lucky number.

I just read this on IGN for myself, pretty freakin' sweet to have something to look forward to. But upon reading in IGN it also states that the game is played with the Wii clasic controller. Not sure on the credibility of this and didn't want to make a topic out of it because there are so many rediculous threads on the controls. Has anybody heard this from a reliable source?

ok, as far as getting new info right as the site comes out, i dont know about that. i think there is definitely a possibility of there being some new tidbits but there is always the possiblilty that they are just going to reinstate what we already know. on another note though, i can say that i believe this site is going to be integral to finding out new news, as i believe that they will be one of, if not the 1st sites to gain new info, it just might not happen yet, but seeing as they are the "OFFICIAL" site, we dont have to worry about anything they say to be false. once this site launches, we are going to have to keep very close tabs on it, because this is goign to be where Nintendo directly releases brawl info!!!!! i am very excited about this site. but there is a little part of me that says there wont be new info RIGHT when it comes out, maybe a bit later, but there is a very real possibility that there is new info, although i believe it'll just be some new screens and maybe some new tidbits about stuff we already knew but didnt excatly have confirmed. stuff such as bowser being in the game. we dont officially know if hes going to be in, but we are 100% sure he will be in. they'll end up giving us info like that...peace
