I remember watching Cars in the theater with my faimy and seeing the preview for Ratatouille thinking to myself, "Man that rat movie looks interesting, I wanna see it" honestly being a little more invested in that one teaser than I was the Cars movie itself lol.

It has legit gone on to be one of my favorite films of all time. What a beautiful film.

Honestly, man.
It’s amazing how you can watch it as a kid and love it, and then as an adult (or, just older, in my case) you find all these hidden meanings you didn’t understand yet, and it’s like you’re watching a whole new film. It has beautiful concepts, and a brilliant execution. Saying that this film has subverted my expectations in both animation and story would be a gross understatement. And the music is another thing entirely. Le Festin was a brilliant choice for both children and adult viewers, and it perfectly represents both plots seen by the different viewers. Unlike Megamind, I don’t want this movie to have a sequel. It doesn’t need one. It is perfect on it’s own.
(also, pixar isn’t too good with sequels).
