I remember seeing someone say they want Mario games to go M-rated so Nintendo can canonise Bowsette.

If you want that, just play Conker.

This is about the same league as those Super Smash Flash OCs and wanting Sonic.EXE.

I want to say I can't believe it, but if we face it, fans like... fan-made ideas, canon or not. That would be a strange piece of content, and difficult for me to swallow.

If you think Pauline is at all a sex appeal character, let alone solely a sex appeal character, you’re probably not familiar with her, or at least not her depiction as of Odyssey. There’s a difference between “sex appeal” and “conventionally beautiful woman”

You can claim there's a difference but it doesn't mean anything if you can't explain the difference because there probably isn't one.

It may be small to you, but it adds up. No influence is too small to be dangerous, and if one is not careful, it will easily spiral out of control. I usually am modest with my views, but some things can ruin a person's life, even while we are not aware of it. I may be unpopular for this, but it is true.

Don't need proof because it's in a lot of places. There's some people who actually want Bowsette in Smash as a fighter. That meme is still alive and Bowsette is still somewhat popular.
