Tetris Attack is Panel De Pon. They changed the game for western markets and completely removed any references to Lip and all her fairy friends. They probably did that because the fairies were probably too girly and animesh for the American crowd at the time.

Yeah, but why didn't they bring back the Yoshi version? if Sega can keep on rereleasing Mean Bean, why can't Nintendo just change the name of Tetris Attack and continue releasing it?

I don't know. It would be easy money for them to just port all versions of that game into the Switch online service.

At some point, companies realise that they aren't fooling gamers with disguises anymore since the Internet exists to look up a game's origin readily.

In my personal opinion I would much rather play a Yoshi game than an anime fairy game. They could've at least given the option to play Tetris Attack as well as Panel.

Zinith I forgot Super Mario World's Japanese release was in 1990. I think it was nickname or just called Super Mario Bros. 4 in Japan if I am not mistaken?

It's good to expand your gaming knowledge and this is a great opportunity. It's the same gameplay and just because Yoshi isn't slapped on the side of the game doesn't mean it's bad. And don't get petty because a Japanese company is releasing a game with a Japanese art style
