One of my favorite things about Toon Link is his potential. I see him having much more potential then anyone else in the cast. I KNOW he can be a high tier character. I KNOW he's better then a lot of the high tiers.
But he's not advancing. Why? Because no one's doing anything. All the top players don't help the lesser players out. They don't even help each other out most of the time. No one contributes. No one offers time to better the character. His metagame has been at a standstill for like, a year. All because no one tries. There are exceptions here and there, but that's basically the gist of it.
The TL board used to be great. It used to be AMAZING. Now, no one bothers anymore. Compare the amount of work I put into advancing TL to anyone else. It's ridiculous. I've probably contributed more to my character then most people on these boards have. So it started pissing my off that my efforts were going to a hopeless cause. When I said I was thinking about leaving the TL for Marth, someone literally said "So if Sasuke goes, what's gonna happen to his three stickied threads and the Back Room?
What am I saying? He can't go! The Toon boards will collapse!". Not to blow my own whistle, but this is correct. I basically completely manage the TL board. Now I don't feel like it's worth my time if others don't bother to try. I can't do everything by myself. I still have a lot more to get done (Making a completely revamped "useful Links" thread, starting a Toon Link guide from scratch[both of those will get stickied], refurnishing my other stickied thread with better pictures I plan to make, updating threads, etc.), but why should I do all this?
And since no one bothers to look stuff up , even most of the great players are lacking in knowledge of ATs. It's REALLY, REALLY sad to me when Chip says he just noticed something which can really help him out in tournaments that I found out about months and months ago.
I'm just lost.
It's such a pity.
