Well, of course, if I first get disrespected for it, don't expect me to turn my face and hand you my other cheek.
Treating humans differently because of their nature is indeed very very objectionable, but you can't expect me to simply take abuse just because.
If you belief into the world being flat, so be it, as long as you don't force your opinion/belief onto someone else and/or hurt them physically or mentally.
If you don't like gays, I don't care, because it's none of your business what happens in my bed. If you give me **** for it, though I do care, cause then it's abuse, and indirectly forcing your opinion onto me.
If you think Meta Knight should be banned, then I don't care, but if you state wrong information and give me **** for correcting you, then don't expect me to nod and smile, either.
On a sidenote, being gay is not a choice.
For the record, outside of the basic "I disagree with it" sentiment, I dont care much about the homosexuality thing. I brought it up because it must be something you have strong feelings about. and I could relate it very easily to the topic at hand to show you the error in your ways.
No taking of abuse is necessary, but handing it out is just as much of a problem, no matter what BS you use to somehow justify it to yourself. If youve ever seen my back-and-forths with Yuna, I have the same issues with him.
Also about the abuse piece. to be quite honest im getting a little bit tired of LBGT people being so quick to call foul on just about everything. How you gonna say dont give me shiz for being gay cus its indirect abuse when this entire convo started because you were doing the EXACT same thing and indirectly bashing those that belief in God. Cause honestly its not the same sex sex or even the rediculous flamboyancy that bothers me about gay people as much as it is the overwhelming audacity that people have to try to spew about it like that. Im black, so I know a thing or two about experiencing bigotry but the way LBGTs go about sometimes, its not wonder that people have such hard headed feelings about it
and as far as correcting stupid peoples misconceptions about MK, I do that to both sides regardless of who believes what about the character. So keep doing that, just realise that having a different opinion on a video game is not grounds to disrespect people the way ive seen in these debates.
