All the Melee vids I see are pretty old and most comments say that the pros back then (specifically Ken) couldn't keep up with the meta game nowadays.
Dude seriously, Mango? That's pretty crazy, I would probably sh** my pants if I found out I was playing Chu Dat lol I heard that Mango talks a lot sh** actually, did he do that? It reminds me of one of my friends that's really cocky when he plays games (anything he does actually, right down to beer pong lol), but he can back it up. And I mean he can back it up, he used to **** in Melee until he quit. I think he still goes to Halo tournaments, and last I heard he got a lot money.
I don't think I can use every character competitively, but I do know my around with them. I don't know how to counter with everyone, just the ones I mostly use (like how YLink's arrow can stun Fox's UpB).
I don't play Brawl much, as if I haven't implied that enough , so I don't think I'm too good competitively seeing as how I don't know how every character plays (other than knowing what attacks they can do) and that I have to rely on the good ol' rackin up damage and evasive action xD
I can't wait to actually start going to real tourneys. Once I get a car, I'll definitely look around for locals. I just Googled where Livermore was and if I'm around Nor Cal (most likely San Fran for family) I'll definitely hit you up
I like playing low tiers because I like their playstyle. It's only a shame that the higher tiers have so many advantages against them, which is why I like you buffing post haha No one else really responds to my buff posts (or ideas for that matter) so it's nice to see a respected member start talking about it.

I play XBox at my girlfriend's house, but I usually play with her brother, who's a good friend of mine. I usually play Halo 3 or Reach there (it's where I got my Overkill Extermination, felt great) Lately she's been playing if for LA Noire and Fallout: New Vegas, but occasionally we play Kinect. She got me into playing Harvest Moon tho, especially the ones out for Wii :D
She used my PS3 for Assassin's Creed 2 until they got it for 360 haha

Anyway, you should add me: Par3H 11 (if the space doesn't work on PS3 just put no space, I'm too lazy to look right now haha) You won't see me too much on 360, but I'm working on getting a job. It'll be a while til I get one since I'm gonna be working for other things.

They did have all the characters on another Wii, but some douchebag stole the Wii so we were forced to use defaults T_T

haha Well I guess the Knights clan all mained Toon Link but used a variety of characters too. I wish I was part of the clan wars that started after Brawl was released. I was asked to participate but couldn't 'cause I didn't have a router Were you part of that?
I usually try to play close range in both games (I didn't play S64 that much since I didn't have an N64 and when I did play it I was like 8 so I spammed Yoshi Bomber lol)
I try to use everybody, but in Melee I'd say my favorites are YLink, Doc, Marth, Sheik and Pika. I like to use Falco and IC's to be really cheap (laser hoppin and chain grabs!) xD
In Brawl I liked using Toon Link, Pika, Pit, Marth and MetaK.

I usually play offensively and close range. I try to mix in long range and defense to play evasively and then blend in close range. Never really analyzed how I play haha
I think I have pretty good reflexes, which is kinda how I learned how to SHFFL pretty quick. It depends on how good my opponent is for how fast I adapt. Sometimes I just try to overwhelm them by being evasive (in that Brawl tourney in the library they were wondering what I was doing when I kept QACing with Pika lol). I can combo okay, usually I rely on SHFFLing for that, but it depends on which character I'm using to combo on the ground. Playing FPS games can show how fast reflexes are, especially in CoD where you can die after 3 shots with the right gun.
My girlfriends likes RPGs, not many fighting games so I dunno if I can get her to let me train her. Shes awesome for saying that her best character in Melee was YLink haha There was a point where I was teaching her how to play MvC3 so I might be able to

The farthest I got into a tourny was 4th place and at the time I havent played Brawl for 2 months lol I lost against my friend who invited me. I took out three people with Pika but lost to my friends Lucas when I changed to Pit Then for a third place match I decided to play Pit again but lost to a pretty good MetaK
My other friend won with Ike who was against my friends Lucas lol
I didnt even get to play Toon Link because the host's Wii was stolen (it was held in our public library) so we could only play the default characters. We unlocked Ness while playing and my friend used him and won and some guy complained saying we were "only allowed to use the default" so my friend kicked his *** with Lucas haha

The only ally clan I remember were the Twilight Warriors who used Link. Who did you guys use? I know the thread for the Knights is still up but no one posts...I should lol

I think I was always pretty good at playing up close in both Melee and Brawl. Using all three Specials with Young and Toon Link was part of my play too With TL I liked using Zair the moment I found out it had no lag when landing haha I used it almost like Marths Fair. I like to play all characters for fun and to know what some people could do. I dont really counter pick but it helps avoid some things.
I didnt have a router back then but it sucks that I cant play Brawl at all at my house (I could at my girlfriends house but she has 3 bros that like to use the 360) so now I use it for CoD on PS3 xD

Oh, not at all, see I did it as a joke to myself, I got inspired by one of the mods here lol, I still love my old name and I plan to get it back soon so don't worry if you miss my old name, you'll probably see it after New Years lol..I wanted to have some fun with a name is all.

Posts on my old account or this one? Most posts from my old one were just me being excited for Brawl with some movesets here and there, and I'm basically doing the same thing now but throwing around more ideas, so I don't know about intelligent but thanks

I don't think I went on Play to Win that much but I remember a lot of people liked to go there cause it was less strict than here. But I was part of the Knights of the Drowned Kingdom before it died. I also posted in the MegaMan thread here which is where I think I remember you from.

I never got to play online, but I did get pretty good with him. I used him a lot before my Wii broke and my Brawl got stolen :'( I've only ever been to 3 tourneys (not official) and I never used Young Link or Toon Link. I think I'm better with Pika in Brawl and for sure Doc/Marth in Melee but they're still my favorites to play with xD
