People are chosen for multiple reasons, not just based on activity and knowing things. As a member you can do good by reporting posts, etc.
As a moderator it is prefered you continue posting just like a member. You should be able to have time to further help discussion and moderate at the same time. Moderating is not your sole job as a moderator. I constantly make new threads to help the Snake threads - still - and support others who do. (Which is another job is supporting someones ideas for threads if we feel it would help - this should sort of be a given)
You, Player-3, Red-blue, and some guy I forget the name of always seem to be on thin ice with eachother and a lot of flame wars and arguments break out in some of the worst places. From what I saw Failchion generally avoided those and never really started anything. That is why he was chosen, he didn't really have any issues with the members.
I lurk the board and used to be active, but all the hate and flaming was just to much for me to care about the board. I go in and post a little common sense now and then and try to keep things running but there isn't much I can do since I can't actually moderate the place.
Also we're trying to keep 1 moderator per board as a representative of that board. My case with DK is a very special case simply because there is no one else for the position and I volunteered for it.
The Falcon boards currently has a moderator, but his activity seems to be dwindling. I'll try to speak to the Admins about any options we have for the board. But right now I don't want to seem greedy and ask for those boards to. (After all, I'm now moderating the Link, Snake, and DK boards. Most of the other mods only manage 1 forum, and a few do 2 unless they are super mods)
I'll do everything I can to help but don't expect miracles. I am currently trying to fix it though, I'll let you know that much.
