I don't really know how any of this kind of stuff works. I'd need you to walk me through it, but if you need someone to just do more of what I've been doing, that sounds good to me.
Like, once this one finishes we'll all be free to progress the plot, introduce the main villians, all that jazz
It'll be an excellent time to jump in if you feel like joining in the fun.
Basically, you go off and write your own story at first. You can choose to start off on your own, or write a group story with one of the members. (Like my main character and yours start off hanging out at a bar or something. idk xD)
After a while, stuff happens, villians come into play, and we eventually all end up meeting up mid-story and ban together to fight some ultimate evil.
We're trying something new this time. Muhti decided he likes the villian role, so he likes to randomly come in and ****** us up lol

Half the time we start off serious, then end up joking around.

how long have you been using lucario/played brawl competitively? i asked on the thread but the pages are filling fast and i feel that my question will disappear from you.. haha
Yeah, at FoCo fest I (the player) said that I (me) probably would've done a lot better in the whole tourney if I had just gone straight Icies, so I decided to try that and see how well I'd do by going Icies 100% and just banning brinstar. Lo and behold, I only lost to Rubio and 2-0'd almost everyone else.
Spent the last couple days researching the Icies/Snake MU as well, wish I had someone to practice it with so I could try and get better though. :T
There are some characters I go all-out with (Sheik) but most of my characters focus on more defensive play (ROB, Icies, Jiggs).
Who was the D3?
Also if you're talking about the springs fests, they're at some McDonalds' near the Garden of the Gods or something like that.
I took a game off Rubio's Snake in Winner's Semis on BF, but didn't beat him. It was Lion's Snake I wrecked on FD with Icies.
Actually didn't switch off Icies for the entire tournament, same for all my MMs (beat Trixie, Dogg, Dtan, Skullkid, and Lion in MMs then lost to Steam's MK in one). Dogg even took me to RC game 2 of our tournament match and I still beat him with Icies.
And yeah, I feel like Snake is just good for all the wrong reasons. So are Ice Climbers, I guess, but still. >_>
Last time I went all-out with ROB was against Soapy at Z3, and that was only in game 3. If Laulo or Sky ever got good with Icies I'd go ROB vs them (or Jiggs) but I wouldn't really be going "all-out" because I'd be playing really gay.
I would totally host a mid-tier tournament if we had the people and setups to get it done efficiently, but we'd probably have to drop P:M at whatever tournament it was at unless we really had a lot of setups.
Pikachu might be a good choice, although we already have two or three people who have Pika as their secondary (Skullkid and Dogg, off the top of my head).
Item play is definitely something you should work on though if you're having trouble in the Diddy MU. The only reason I don't lose to Diddy's is because I almost always have better item control than they do.
Snake is just dumb and I know how you feel. Next time I face Rubio in bracket I'm just going to go ROB and time him out because I'm just that done losing to Snake.
Although, when I fought Lion in Loser's, he got 4th port and went Snake, then said "I'm Snake and I have 4th port, you can just go FD if you want lol" and I was like ">:3" and beat him (I think it might've been a 2-stock).
Get some tips from Steam on the Lucario/Snake MU I guess, since he hasn't lost the MU to Rubio yet.
Managed to get 3rd. Lost to Rubio in Winner's Semis and then again in Loser's Finals.
I felt that way with R.O.B. too. I started messing around with other mid tiers and then after like 8 tournaments I realized I wasn't going to get anywhere in this scene if I didn't play characters who stood a chance against all the high-tiers on the PR, so I picked Icies because I felt like I wanted an easier time winning but not in the Meta Knight way (in that I have to put a lot of effort into learning CGs and setups and such). I also liked the mental aspect of keeping two characters under your control at once. Not to mention the icies are also adorable~
Try and find a good character that people don't play much in our region (Diddy is one example, there aren't any really good Diddy mains in CO); that's what I did with Icies. Nobody played Icies, nobody had the MU experience. Only problem is we basically have every character covered from top to the bottom of mid-tier. :T
Maybe Pit could work? Not as good as Lucario but we don't really have any good Pit players and he does well against Snake (and we have like 4 snake players).
