Allllrighty then.....Falco? Eh, why not?
.....this song.
Anyway...
0:10- Retreating laser would have worked if you retreated properly. Tech skill son.
0:15- You can't really punish Ganon's jab OOS unless you JC shine it I think. Maybe you can, but I always roll so I don't get hit. I guess if you think Ganon will try to Fair behind you in case you roll you could wait for that....
0:19- Third spotdodge was a bad idea. The first two....worked, but you should've tried to either counterattack(jab/Bair/Ftilt/Dsmash?) or roll away. Ganon has a nice jab and Dair for catching you in those spotdodges.
0:25- FJ wtf. When he rolls behind you, you should probably Fsmash him or something like your pressure is supposed to net you. It's kind of what you want them to do when you play Falco. Pressure until they roll(into you preferably) then Fsmash. Mix in quick grabs/shine JC grabs and you have Chops' pressure without goldeneye lasers. ****.
0:26- I would actually recommend not standing lasering after that hit. The reason for this is you need to take advantage of your hits. Your opponent usually shields after being struck at a lower percentage, so you're free to go in for a grab for a while. You obviously have quick rolls to deal with then, and you can punish as you see fit(low=shine/Utilt, mid/high=Fsmash f*ck yes).
wtf. you died.
waste of invincibility when coming back to life. You whiff a Bair so you mess up your L-cancel or get uncomfortable or something and roll away. The best use of invincibility is to pressure your opponent to an uncomfortable situation(made easier by Falco's awesome offense) so that you'll have the advantage/combo by the time your invincibility wears off.
0:41- If you're gonna DJ(which you shouldn't have at least until you were lower), try to fake him out with it. It's just a cramped space with Ganon's Uair covering the whole stage. Probably not a good thing to set yourself up to be juggled/killed by Ganon(it happens on this stage and can from 0 easily. It sucks).
0:48- Dair OOS is bad vs spacing Ganon(or any non-close top tier really). Falco kinda sucks in his shield. WD back or something. You don't want to be in your shield as Falco, but if you do get out of it quickly.
then you keep trying to Fair punish. At least try it closer lol.
then you held your shield too long. It's okay to roll vs Ganon sometimes.
1:05- Dtilt sucks at comboing most of the time. Grab/turnaround Utilt maybe. Not a bad idea though. Maybe with a little more percent.....
then you do some "crazy" intimidation stuff that ends with you being afraid to be shield grabbed so you FJ away.
1:16- Shine/Uptilt
1:17- FJ no.
1:19- Dsmash no. If you laser behind him go for a grab/Utilt/Bairs/Dairs. You have ways to pressure Ganon, but it’s player vs player dependent on which works and when.
1:21- You can’t get a falling Ganon(or any character) with a shine usually. Your best bet is to laser him and follow up with an Ftilt/Fsmash I guess.
1:28-shine or Bair woulda worked.
1:29- Work on flowing with Falco.
1:36- Keep moving during his invincibility until you need to shield.
Then more flowing/pressuring problems. Just try to get into a groove with Falco while understanding his limits/your opponent’s expectations.
2:03?- dash attack X50 doesn’t work. You should Utilt/Bair/Uair after the first one.
2:10- no need to spotdodge. You knew what Ganon would do, so just roll away right before the Fair comes down. He can’t punish you. You can’t always dodge and then return fire in Melee. You sometimes have to approach on your own terms because L-Canceling minimizes lag so quick moves can still hit you out of your spotdodge.
2:29- tech skill
2:32- Good Utilt, but bad Ftilt. Fair would connect, Uair could hit him out of his jump, leaving lots of options open for you. Ftilt is more of a poke or a last hit finisher(for edge pushing usually).
2:36- not a bad idea, but it would have to be a liiiitle bit faster to stop that Fair. Not a good trade in this case.
2:37- WD OOS/retreating Dair OOS, SHL OOS maybe
2:40- You had him where you wanted him! He rolled behind you because you were chasing him, but you rolled because you didn’t hit his shield like you expected. Sometimes holding your shield is vital when you’re on the attack, which may not make sense but when decisions are being made so quickly and then stop, it is harder for the defender to realize this since he doesn’t control the situation.
2:45- Missed shine spacing. If you had DI’d back some you could have gotten an Fsmash.
Overall? Not bad, but definitely in need of a more thorough understanding of how Falco works and more knowledge of his options/matchups. Tech skill practice definitely wouldn’t kill you. In short, you need to play the character more.
