I've known about Absolute Zero since before Gaia came out. If we get one I'm pretty sure Aaron will slap one in his frogs with a FF.

My friend is trying to build Worms, lol. My main archetype that I'm waiting for is Fiend Roar Deity. Everyone's got their own archetype they enjoy, and they're mine. Ever since the start of the game I've enjoyed fiends. Skill Drain Fiend was fun for awhile.

But these new ones are ridiculously awesome. I'm enjoying how the producers are upping the art quality and realizing that more than just kids play the game. The Worms are living cardboard proof that it's turning into an overall audience game... they're... they're all just terrifying. (Except Apocalypse, he's a hotdog man.)

Aaron (Lake) still runs Zombies. Tried running an E-Hero variant of it with the new Elemental Hero Gaia (1 Elemental Hero Monster + 1 Earth Monster) but we remembered that Prisma needs to activate effect for specific fusion material names... so we couldn't foolish mezuki or any other earth zombie each turn with prisma into instant Gaia.

I run a few things, but I'm mostly the deck builder. I build a deck, play with it, get bored, build another one. So nothing at the moment besides the main deck, which is Gigavise. Also have Empty Jar and Uria, building towards Gadgets soon.

Mike (Lyme) runs Sky Scourge Noreleas Zombies. Another friend runs X-Sworn (X-Sabers + Lightsworn).

Our locals are pretty competitive, with most of the meta decks. D-Hero Zombies, Lightsworn, Blackwings, all sorts of stuff.

Didn't get to go, new car didn't come on the lot in time. :/ But I did pretty well at locals with the new deck, 2-2. Only lost two because of bad top-decks.

A friend went and judged SJC. The new binders that are rip-offs of monster binders are alright, but they bend cards easily.

You have plans on going to Kuntasm? Like would you stay there for Brawl 'n stuff.

wow, I don't even know how many people are coming from my end anymore lol. Word is getting around and even some people who only played melee a bit (ie, people without consistent tech skill) and quit years ago are interested.... I know me and the first friend I mentioned are in this for the long haul, some of the other people who might be coming might lose interest after a while, I can't quite say. Also, I might be able to bring 3 setups if that's needed. 2 for sure, maybe 3. Anyway, hopefully my chess tournement won't be delayed and go past 4, they do that on occasion. If I don't show up until 5 that'd be why. But 4-10 is a good time for pretty much everyone on my end.

Looking at that on google maps made me almost die laughing from the irony because my friend who always complains that there's no one to play besides me lives in the residential area just north of paneras, and you've been meeting so close to him.

I have a chess tournament that will probably over around 3 or 4, and I'll be free after that. I should be able to bring 2 friends. Yes it's 2 now, one of my friends that stopped playing melee when brawl came out and just decided to get back into it when I told him about rising melee tournament attendance and that we would have more people to play regularly. He likes casual brawl but agrees melee is much better competitively.

I could bring 2 tv's and a wii/melee, so we could potentially have 2 setups.

I could probably start coming to your smashfests occasionally. I could bring a setup too if you wanted, maybe a friend. How exactly did you get access to panera's anyway?

Also, just because you suicide doesn't mean you're bad. It's something that is very easily fixable. Tech skill is easily fixable. Playing smart and seeing openings and combos is the hard part.

Also, lol at you complaining about going marth against spacies in the forums. "Don't know why I switched to Marth to try and take on your Fox, I guess I was scared of the Sheik v. Fox matchup? Dumb on my part" Marth is good on spacies. All you need is to get a bunch of grabs. As a sheik player you should be good at that...

I've been going to tournaments regularly for about a year now (and am nowhere near as good as I should be, lol) Did any of your guys make the bracket? I didn't but I had really really close matches with the people in 3rd and 4th in my pool (I won one of the matches in the set, took them down to their last life and high percent every time, would have made bracket if I hadn't screwed up an edgeguard in the end )

Sliq is from canton too I think, he still plays some melee, but mostly brawl now His jigglypuff is AMAZING though. He probably could have made top 10 at the tournament... But he only goes to melee/brawl or brawl only tournaments.
