Considering the main mario cast is here, and splatoon 2 and 1-2 switch don't have much to offer in terms of characters I think they'd look further down the list. Kirby Star Allies and DKC: TF being the notable ones in the top 10 along with BOTW

A franchise being rebooted doesn't necessarily mean there's anything wrong with the other entries, it can also act as a way to change and breathe new life into an old concept and try new things with it. Just cause Tomb Raider, or Prince of Persia or DMC were rebooted doesn't mean the other games...

I'd really like them to take a swing at a proper action rpg since the Xenoblade games are somewhere in between that and a traditional turn based rpg, plus I just love action rpgs, I always have the most fun with that style of combat

Yeah that's not gonna happen, we'll probably get one at the game awards, one in a direct early next year, one at e3, one in autumn and then another at the end of 2019 somewhere. I'm just hoping we won't have to wait months between announcement and release again.

This list is pretty much what I want and what I think could happen in one. 1. Elma The lack of Xenoblade X content is almost suspicious tbh, and with Rex effectively deconfirmed it makes sense to add elma instead, especially if the DLC fighters were originally intended for the base game...

To be fair they said no echoes in the fighter pass, doesn't mean we can't have more echoes later on after it's done if dlc does continue. Though I think if there were any more echoes they wanted to add they would've done it so I don't really expect any more

I feel like that would kind of ruin the fun of speculation though, it would significantly narrow down the list of potential characters and kinda ruin the surprise of reveals
