    Say... I seem to be having a problem with VMs... For some reason, my VM wall as it is called (the place where VMs are posted) is not allowing people to send me VMs. I made sure it's not just limited to contacts and moderators, but that seems to be the case right now regardless. Even my contacts are having to resort to PMs though... Do you know what the problem is?

    Hey, I helped revive the Ness board. When I showed up it was pretty dead. I told myself and our old mod (whom we still miss) that I'd try my hardest and to my best ability to bring it back and we have been very lively. I seriously couldn't be happier.

    And I've got my funky colored title :laugh:. You seem like a really nice guy though Marc, thanks for chatting :)

    I have the old ones, I mean the OLD ones, I have MGS3 and 4...I plan to get the new one.

    EarthBound is the only game to be "officially" in English yes, but there are patches for MOTHER 1 and 3. I own a copy of all 3 games, including a copy of EarthBound in the case with the guide. :D I'd play MOTHER3 if I were you, it's got a great story. MOTHER 1 is just annoyingly hard for about an hour then gets a little better.

    As for Bart, yeah he's a really nice guy and we talk a lot :). I know most of the Ness mains, knew most of them before I became a mod. I love modding that board too and they guys all really like me so I couldn't be happier. And yes, I don't have a problem with basic grab releases like Dedede because he does that to everyone, same with Falco. As for Ness/Lucas they just get GR'd to anything. It's ridiculous. But good Ness' don't get into those situations very often ;)

    I actually like MGS you know :) And yes, please play Earthbound! For me? :3 It's a great game with a funny story.

    Also, that Ness main...it's Bartolon isn't it? (S1-14). He's a friend of mine. He's lucky, he doesn't have to deal with some of the USA crap. Poor Ness, if he didn't have those grab release shenanigans he'd be higher.

    I do, and I'm a fan of earthbound :)

    He's underrated I think...but yeah, if he gets grabbed people can do all kinds of things to him. (which sounds really...eww now that I think about that wording haha). Don't worry, I rarely get killed from something grab related.

    I take it you love Snake haha.

    FFX wasn't that bad, but it broke away from the series too much. It was an extremely linear game, the story was predictable, you had to grind like mad for the sidequests and the sphere grid wasn't that interesting. I also liked that they actually tried with the characters (Auron's pretty cool), but FF kinda died with this game IMO. I've played 1 to 10 entirely and the SNES and PSX trios (well, 8 and 9 at least) are still the best by far.

    My saddest moment was all of FF6. :p So much tragedy in that game, lol. Kuja's death in 9 also comes to mind.

    She had about as much character development as your average Barbie doll, there's literally NO reason for you or even the characters in the game to care about her. Literally the only thing that went through my mind when she died was "Well **** i better get the matiera she had on her back"

    I think that's the main problem in FFVII, NONE of the characters are really developed or fleshed out. As an example I've always pointed to FFX in terms of 3D Final Fantasy games. Most people wont actually say they ENJOYED the characters in that game(lord knows i didnt) but SQEnix at least TRIED and gave them back story, character development and such. Granted I was never sadder than when the twins sacrificed themselves in FFIV so maybe im doing it wrong.

    FF VII was a legitimately bad game, especially when you consider how GOOD FF VI was. It was a gigantic step backwards and honestly im not even sure if RPGs ever really recovered from it.

    Portal is good as long as you dont have to pay for it lol. A 2 hour puzzle game that really you'll never play again isnt worth any amount of money. It actually WAS free on Steam for a while(not sure if it still is) as one of my friends with a huge stiffy for Valve just haaaaad to tell me(my response: "I cant believe they actually expected people to pay for it in the first place")

    I tend to just get annoyed when games get far too much undue recognition. Portal is the other game that comes to mind, though as a game it is leaps and bounds above most its also only 2 hours long and once you actually get the hang of "thinking with portals" you realize its still just a puzzle game. Funny script though, it was worth the 2 hours i gave it lol.

    Yeah, I think the only reason I would ever play Non-Stop Climax is for bragging rights. And that doesn't seem especially worthwhile. And same! For some reason, I always heard it in the end credits voice. It was odd, but the music was great.

    Can you actually finish that game without Witch Time? Even so, that doesn't sound like fun at all. :urg:
