Obviously. It's just poor choice because essentially what they're doing is having a $5 door fee and then a $5 entry fee that goes into the pot. But they should actually word it that way because then it doesn't sound nearly as bad as saying that 1st place gets 50% (or less) of the pot.

Yeah well, if you don't have the money to put up front, that's one thing, but it doesn't change the point.

...You do realize that essentially we pay Gigs "hundreds of dollars" every time they hold a tourney there because of how much they rake the pot, right? It's pretty disgusting, to be honest, and it would actually probably be cheaper to rent a small venue for a day then what we wind up giving...
