I don't think anything you stated is actually ruining the series. If anything, expanding it to a wide variety of future possibilities. And if you think it is well... stick to Gen 1 and 2? Don't ruin it for the people that enjoy it. I, personally, am not a huge fan of the emphasis on IV pokemon...
