  • Dude, what if next week's final reveals...they added to mvc3...

    VULTUREMAN!!!!

I'd laugh so hard, then be sad.

@FF, yeah... I actually like XIII though. The plot isn't terrible at all.
Well, eventually WoW will need to be replaced with a better engine, but yeah I suppose so.

And the Carnage/Venom part of Spiderman was epic. Maximum Carnage :DD
Eh, DCU wll probs not do to well. I just have a hunch tbqh.

And yeah, Spiderman is ftw. I wish I had his powers so much tbh.
Yeah, I'm super excited for MvC. I may sell SSFIV tbh.

As for DC...eh, a lot of their characters are too forgettable.

Aside from TeenTitans, Batman peoples, and Flash, they just are mesh. And Superman is gay. (But so is Captain America)

Don't get me wrong, I love DC(not Universe), but I'm definitely a Marvel fanatic. Especially since Spiderman is my favorite thing ever.

As for Spiderman3... yeah I hate them. Venom looked cool, though.
Yeah. I hear execution of combos is easier (where I struggle tbh) and it's harder in that you have to form a team. (I've played Pokemon and several other team forming games, I like that aspect) So I think I may be good at MvC. Not uber good, but passable good.

@ Comics... when I get my free month, I'm reading Spiderman at work like there is no tommorow.

@ Venom..he is my favorite Marvel character. Carnage is cool, but pure evil is lame. (See: Evil Kid Buu) Evil with a purpose strikes me more interesting.
Alright, I'll add you when I get back >.> Just got kicked off ps3 to do stuff, and man Broodmother is mean on DA D:.

Also, I got Iron Man 2 instead xD. Marvel>SE for me right now, as MvC3 looks epic. (Even though I suck at SSFIV)

Venom needs to be announced though.
eyyyy, wanna be psn buddies? My psn is my name without the space on here.

Also, lolz I saw that Complete Advent Children blue ray at walmart. It was actually tempting xD
Get mhtri btw, so me and jayda (gf) have someone to play with online. We can't play together because we share a wii.
Hit me. I'm getting FFXIII, Dragon Age, Infamous, SSFIV, and SO4 as mention, but I plan to get:

    Assasins Creed (all of them)
    Infamous II
    Valk Chronicles
    Ressonece(sp) of Fate
    Blazblue CS
    FFVIII(DL)
God of War(Very iffy, looks too hack-n-slashish(
Not all of um suck. I still like the old Pokemons. God Psychics were so **** broken.

Starfox 64 is still nice..but the guy is a nostalgic freak.

Anyways, I recently got 480p on my Wii. (Also upgraded to HD) They say Wii in HD sucks, as 480p is its max (which is the lowest, in terms of the p's)

Still, since I had an RCA crap tv, I think it's amazing.

    Can't wait for ps3 :3
Not all JRPG are linear, FFVII wasn't really, nor 8. X was kinda, but not too bad. XIII definitely wasn't.

So, Dragon Age isn't linear then? Cause it betta not be.

And lol @ Kupo15, I bet he hates all post GenII Pokemon
Look man, I main Marth in Brawl and Melee. But before that, I gave Mewtwo a solid month and a half of training on Melee. He sucks ****.

    And Taj is Jesus...

Anyways, Drakengard is pretty fail, and the soundtrack is atrocious. (like, it actually annoys me bad)

I really think SE needs to wake up and listen to their fans like they did back in the Soft days, or early Enix days. Making jrpgs way to linear is complete fail.

SO4 is actually cool (been doing research), probably getting it, and will let you know how it goes. It seems different from the others, imho.

But the FF franchise needs to be reawakened with a good game; i.e. FFXIV needs to be like X or something. Not trying to sound like Kupo15, but the older FFs are so much more kick***.
Well, I will say Namco has done okay this generation. Tales of Vesperia is pretty nice, I wish it still would be ported to the PS3. Square Enix ix definitely struggling right now, though. All they need to do is LISTEN TO THE FANS.

SO4 actually is noted for having a lot of fanservice, though, which is why I might get it.

Anyways, it runs very similar, you team up online to take down big monsters. It's strategic and fun, and it sucks if your like me and love the Long Sword. Because if you hit your friend/players online, with any weapon, they get knocked back. So you have to be careful. And with Long Sword, it's like being Mewtwo. You're good, but you have to be careful.
    Scratch that, Mewtwo sucks.

It's more like.. I can kick extreme butt but I have to think real hard XD Makes it fun though.

Also, I know that guy is crazy. I actually like a lot of modern games.

SMG2 was a masterpiece, GE64 does suck now, it aged about as bad as FF1.

There is also FFX, Dragon Age, Infamous, pretty much all the ps3 games I'm getting, etc.

And by the way, DO NOT get Drakengard. It's bad. ****ed up storyline, but it sucks.
You ever see a series of games that produces crap after crap, but they keep trying until they get it right? MH Tri is THE ONLY successful MH Game imo. It's amazing, and by far my favorite Capcom game, even above Breath of Fire series.

As for comics, I'm geting MvC solely for Deadpool. :p

Also, I didn't like the series of Star Ocean either, but SO4 is mildly attracting. The fact Earth (Russia, etc) goes into a nuke war over an Alien and explains why humans left earth to colonize...idk it's pretty neat. Problem is I want a good JRPG, and...(Pokemon is almost done, and DKCR will take like 1 week lol)

    FPS/Adventure : Metroid
    Adventure/rpg : MH Tri
    Movie RPG: FFXIII
    WRPG: Dragon Age
    Adventure: Infamous
    Fighting: SSFIV

I want a good jrpg, and Disgaea 3 just looks dumb to me. SO4 is like the best modern jrpg unless they hurry up on Tales of Vesperia, which is pretty cool.

Also, kupo15 is going to eat your heart out. He has nostalgia glasses burned into his retina's
Not much, actually. Work like 35 hours a week (College got put off a year due to paperwork though, which has been a godsend). Maplestory messed me up, so I had to beat Dark Cloud, Drakengard, Baten Kaitos, and Echoes of Time rather fast. All three are mediocre hack-n-slash games with very vague rpg elements. Dark Cloud was the only decent one of the bunch.

Currently, I've got Metroid Prime Trilogy, Soul Silver(Finishing it up), and Monster Hunter Tri. (And Brawl semi-competition XD) I'd highly reccomend MH Tri, but not as jrpg, but as an action rpg.

My girlfriend and I are getting FFXIII, Dragon Age, Infamous, Star Ocean 4, and SSIV4. Sadly though, out of all those only one is a true jrpg, and I don't know if it's reccomendable yet.

So I'd say MH Tri and Soul Silver (or get Black), but aside from that, I just got through beating 4 mediocre games ('cause I like completing things)

    * Baten Kaitos is not a hack-n-slash. It just sucks though.
Hey wanna post in The Tournament? Zook confimed I can temporarily take over his character too, so it will be us three for now. If you post I can make the next post.
I was thinking we could pick something a bit more universal since we won't be limited to Nintendo/Smash Bros. games.

And you can now buy L4D1/2 for $10.19 on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/2487/

Not sure if it's only for today or this week but you better hurry!
I'm pretty much the only one of my friends who doesn't like FPSs, so I tend to have to suffer through at least a little of them when we all hang out, and the only other thing we tend to play is Brawl, so we really need something else to play.

Yeah, the CD has a pretty lacking library. Sonic CD is...decent, but not really as good as everyone hypes it up to be at all. Still, it is a 2D Sonic, so it's worth playing.

Oh wow, Power Stone sounds like a lot of fun. Sounds like a refreshing kind of fighter. I should look into getting my hands on that, I'll have to add it onto my list of games to keep an eye out for.
My friends and I always seem to be stuck between playing either Brawl (never Melee >_<) or some FPS, and someone's not enjoying themselves either way, so it'd be a good idea to try Sonic Shuffle out for once.

Yeah, and it'll be nice to have something to play on my Sega CD. Prize Fighter isn't all that great, and Ecco 2...well, the intro music is breathtaking, but I have it for Genesis, too, and I'm still terrible at the original Ecco as well. I got a fair ways in Sonic CD on Gems Collection, so I know I can actually go somewhere in that.

I really do like having a friend who knows so much about video game consoles, because he's able to tell me about all of this stuff, he's made modifications to some consoles he's sold me (like giving my NES Stereo capabilities), all that sort of stuff. The whole portablizing thing still baffles me, but I can't wait to get that NES Portable.

Hm, what's Power Stone like? It seems interesting, but I don't really know much about it.
Jeez, $150 for Earthbound? And I thought the $80-100 on eBay was expensive...

Well, he has a Power Base Converter and 3 Dreamcast controllers I want to buy. Then as far as games go, there's...

    1) Starmaster (Atari 2600)
    2) Super Breakout (Atari 2600)
    3) Video Pinball (Atari 2600)
    4) Virtua Racing (Genesis)
    5) Diddy Kong Racing (N64)
    6) Wave Race 64 (N64)
    7) Silpheed (Complete) (Sega CD)
    8) Sonic CD (Sega CD)
    9) After Burner (Sega Master System)
    10) Thunder Blade (Sega Master System)

That may be slightly out-of-date, as the list I have hasn't been updated in 2 months,
but that's most of it. Everything on the list is pretty cheap, I just haven't gotten around to buying them yet.

He also has an NES Portable he made that he's going to sell to me once he's done fixing it up, which is going to be awesome. (I love having friends who know how to do things like that.)
No prob everyone get's busy at some point.I'm going to talk to those who were involved in the story meeting. Was it just the two listed in the OP? I'd like to at least get the basics of the story/characters that way I can begin to design how they may look.
Hey, did you need any help running the comic thread? Getting people together or whatever? I only ask because I'm really interested in doing this but I'd like to start as soon as possible because with school coming up soon I'm not sure how much I'll be able to continue to contribute after it begins. It's been two weeks since we were supposed to have the first artist meeting so I'm just wondering how things are going.
Years back, we had a store in my mall called "Shakespeare's Games" and they had all sorts of old game stuff, but this was when the only old systems I had were my Game Boy, my N64, and my Genesis, so I only really ever got 3 games out of it. I've seen retro game vendors at the two conventions I've gone to, but nearly all of their stuff is stupidly overpriced -- if I can get A Link to the Past on eBay for as little as $15 shipped, why would I pay $30 for it?

Ah well, I make do with what I've got. It's always pretty fun when he comes back from Goodwill and tells me all of the cool stuff he found that I can buy from him -- and for that matter, I still have a list of stuff backed up that I still want to get from him.

In any case, I'm glad you inspired me to compile that whole thing -- I've been considering taking pictures of my collection at times, but until someone else actually suggested it, it was one of those things that just never happened.
I guess I've actually had my Dreamcast for longer than I thought. Sometime around mid-August of last year (I swear, IM logs are a godsend). My friend sold me Sonic Adventure with it, and I ordered both Sonic Shuffle and Crazy Taxi. Of course, the only place around me that sells anything older than last gen games is Goodwill, and the closest one to me is far enough away (20-30 minutes) that I rarely ever go there. My friend visits all sorts of Goodwill all around, so I tend to depend on buying things from him when he finds them and doesn't already have them.

And yeah, I'm betting I'm going to have a hell of a time collecting for the Saturn. I want to order Sonic R sometime soon, because I'd really like the original version, but I tend to avoid ordering things unless I find a good deal.

And no problem, man. Thank you for looking at it, I have a feeling you're one of the few people who will actually look at it and get something out of it.
Yeah, I'm actually pretty disappointed myself. Granted, I haven't had my Dreamcast for too long, and I just got my Saturn about a week back, but I need to work on getting more games for both. I'll have to try to start making regular trips to Goodwill.

Thing is, I almost ended up doing that myself. Once I got 5 or 6 consoles, before I even started collecting, my parents started wanting me to get rid of a console, mostly my N64 since I played it the least (mind you, my collection of games tripled once I started collecting). For some reason or another I managed to hold onto all my consoles, then a few years back a friend got me into collecting, and once I told my parents that they stopped caring, fortunately.

And yeah The Lion King is pretty awesome.

Anyway, thanks for checking my collection out.
