My actual major is Zoology and, yes, I live in the US. I'm not completely sure what I want to do with my degree though. Idealistically, I'd like to do field research and be able to travel but, obviously, I'll more than likely have to re-invent myself just to get a job.

Are you by any chance a student of Biology too? I enjoyed reading everything that you said in my thread simply because it was clear that you knew what you were talking about.

After some time figuring out whether or not I'd continue to post stuff there, look what you've made me go and do.

It's weird, it's almost as if there's a correlation between the level of my curiosity and the amount of sleep I get.

Wasn't a waste of time though. Intellecually [mostly political] stimulating stuff. With some comedy [mostly political] thrown in.
