  • meh, just lag.

i play kirby and fox, and fox especially is annoying to use in lag :(

and i get hit by the stupidest stuff ALLLL THE TIME even though i see it coming, and then wifi makes me do the wrong moves half the time, etc.

i need to go to more offline tournies, and actually win
    not much

started playing wifi again, but the wifi network has been messed up for like a week, which figures that nintendo decides to have problems as soon as i start again
Lol, with me, it's just cause I got bored over time. Nowadays I mostly play other fighters competitively. And every other game in existence for kicks.
I've just drifted away from competitive gaming so it pretty much doesn't matter to me anymore :/
Seems like a lot of people get disconnected with the game. Even I'm not super enthused about it anymore. I used to be like "I WANNA BE THE very BEST." Now I only play every once in awhile. I still go to smashfests and stuff once in awhile, but eh.
There's nothing you can really do since you don't have control over everyone.

    But oh well!
It's only the best approach for characters that have a ton of priority, or the aerial maneuverability to retreat while attacking, to bait your opponent to drop their shield. I suppose, if you take the time to examine why you are jumping into people, you'll figure out better options that are present in those situations.
All I can say is just don't jump into your opponent. It's not as complicated as it seems to be. If you're jumping into your opponent, especially when you're coming from off the edge, it's because you're uncomfortable with being on the ledge. Your initial thought is to get onto the stage where you can make use of your normal game plan. Learn the ledge options that you character has, and think about the ways that you can come back onto the stage safely through utilizing them.

Most tense ledge situations can be avoided by just dropping down and jumping back onto the ledge a few times until your opponent whiffs an attack out of over-predicting you. Jumping into your opponent isn't really the pinnacle of play in Smash.
It's hard to judge, but it's a horrible habit that is often found at the low level of player. You're taking additional damage a stock each time you do it, and potential kill moves. More so, you're giving up positional advantage to your opponent which plays a huge part in who is going to win a match. More so, the jump in issue causes you to get grabbed, or Dragon Punched relatively easily. Just think about how much better you'd be if you had an additional 50-100% of life per match on average.

At the moment, you're just giving your opponent free damage, and momentum.
I keep forgetting to update the interview thread, and I want you to have the full week. I'll make you next week; promise.
Haha, yep yep. I was appointed to be a mod of the PT boards along with T-block yesterday.
Well I've finished my last thread as of tonight. As far as I'm concerned, my work here has been done and there is no point in even posting in these forums anymore. As of tonight, I'm no longer going to post in SWF, so if you are reading this don't bother posting here. If you want to talk to me, PM me. I have quit competitive brawl. This is Bomber7 signing out.

    Keep it cool y'all.
